The apartment offers both rustic charm and simplicity so typical of Tuscan rural houses. This is the ideal place to stay if you are looking to immerse yourself into a typically authentic Tuscan lifestyle.

The apartment has its own private entrance and is situated opposite the main mill house with lovely views over the gardens, fruit trees and olive groves.

You will be able to see the farmers at work, the mill where the oil is produced and sample the wonderful tastes which are produced on this charming farm.

If you need to pick up supplies the village center is just a 2 minute drive away or for those who like walking it’s a 10 – 15 minute picturesque wander past the kiwi plantations, and Medieval towers.

Come in the spring and witness the fruit trees in blossom and buttercups meadows, visit in the summer and see the surrounding sunflower fields.

In September you will see the harvest of the grapes and in October you will see the harvest of the olives but to see the olives turned into the golden nectar you must come and visit in November!

Vicopisano is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful region of Tuscany such as the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena, as well as being just under a 30 minute drive away from the Pisan coast, its beaches, Thermal Spas and Golf course

Surrounded by a beautiful landscape of sunflower fields, pine covered hills, and olive groves this is an ideal location for walking, hiking, cycling and mountain biking.

OVERVIEW
Situated on a charming organic olive farm at the edge of the village of Vicopisano.

This one bedroom apartment is one of two apartments located on the farm. Appartamento Limone is ideal for couples but also those with a young family. The apartment can also be used in conjunction with the next door apartment where there is a communicating door.

BEDROOM
The bedroom is flooded with light and has magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and Medieval towers.

There is a double (Queen size) bed dressed in Tuscan antique lace. In addition there is a single bed which would be ideal for a child.

There is air conditioning and heating in the room which can be self - regulated.

LIVING/COOKING AND DINING SPACE
This area is also flooded with light and leads out onto a private patio area.

The room consists of a fitted kitchen equipped for cooking at home and dining room table with 5 chairs.

There are also 2 armchairs and a bookcase which houses two pull down beds – ideal for children or teenagers.

BATHROOM
The bathroom has a shower, WC, bidet and wash basin. We provide our guests with bath towels, shower gel and hand soap.

OUTSIDE AREAS
In addition to your own private space outside the apartment there are plenty of other areas around the farm where you can relax, read a book and sip a glass of the farm’s own IGT Sangiovese wine.

There is also a large BBQ area which can be used by guests.

ORGANIC VEGETABLE GARDEN AND FRUIT TREES
There is a small organic vegetable garden where guests can help themselves to the freshest of ingredients; in addition there are fig, cherry and peach trees in the grounds of the farm.

ACCESS AND PARKING
There is plenty of free parking at the farm just 40 metres from the front door-

“Fabulous location and base to explore from”

We stayed here for a week at the start of November a busy time on the complex with the harvest of the olives. A fabulous location approximately 30 minutes or so from Pisa Airport and with the directions provided very easy to find also the guide provided a lot of useful information. “Memorable Stay”

A little hard to find, but worth it when you get there, the apartment was much larger than we anticipated the room was very comfortable and everything was as advertised. The owners showed us the process for pressing olive oil and arranged a private tasting. I recommend purchasing a couple of bottles I quite liked the lemon, basil, and Rosemary...

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking up a traditional meal with cooking pans, and plenty of cooking utensils, plus little extras like a colander for draining your pasta, a salad spinner, garlic crusher, bottle opener, crockery for 4 people plus a teapot and tea mugs and all the necessary equipment for making typical Italian café with espresso cups and espresso pot. There is a large ceiling fan in this room to keep it cool in the summer months. This room can also cater for 2 extra guests, where there are two single convertible beds stowed and hidden within the shelving unit. BEDROOM The bedroom has a beautiful arched window with views over the estate and Medieval tower of Fillipo Brunelleschi. The double bed is Queen size and typical Tuscan in design with lace bedspreads and a wrought iron headboard. There is also a single bed in this room which can be used for an extra guest if needed but is dressed as a sofa for lounging when the room is occupied for 2 guests. There is a large wardrobe and antique dressing table both with plenty of storage. There is an iPod docking station in this room. BATHROOM The shower room is more like a wet room with a separate annex where you will find the washing machine. Washing powder, shower gel and hand soap is provided. WELCOME PACK All clients will receive a Welcome Pack comprising of a small bottle of the farm's award winning olive oil. A bottle of the estate's red wine, tea, ground coffee, sugar, milk and a bottle of mineral water. ACCESS Access to the apartment is up a very slight incline. For easy access the incline has 15 low wide steps. The entrance to the farm is up a non asphalted gravel lane of about 500 meters.

Nestled on the lower slopes of the Monte Pisano is the sleepy Medieval village of Vicopisano which has been described as one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany. To visit the historic centre of Vicopisano is like stepping back in time with its Medieval towers, cobbled pathways and hidden lanes. Away from the more beaten tracks of Tuscany but close enough to visit its famous sites, Vicopisano is a place where you will witness a more authentic Tuscany where you will see villagers enjoying their morning cappuccino at the local bar, school children queuing for ice cream at the local gelateria, a three wheeler Api (small agricultural vehicle) piled high with local produce and the summer long festivals themed around good food, dining alfresco and dancing under the stars.... more

Nestled on the lower slopes of the Monte Pisano is the sleepy Medieval village of Vicopisano which has been described as one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany. To visit the historic centre of Vicopisano is like stepping back in time with its Medieval towers, cobbled pathways and hidden lanes. Away from the more beaten tracks of Tuscany but close enough to visit its famous sites, Vicopisano is a place where you will witness a more authentic Tuscany where you will see villagers enjoying their morning cappuccino at the local bar, school children queuing for ice cream at the local gelateria, a three wheeler Api (small agricultural vehicle) piled high with local produce and the summer long festivals themed around good food, dining alfresco and dancing under the stars. The Medieval village of Vicopisano once had more than a hundred towers dotting it's skyline and was famous for its tower houses which were built by noble merchants. These noble merchants flocked to the village in Medieval times due to the village's strategic position. Today these Medieval town houses can still be seen but alas most of the towers have been cut down in size. Despite this there are still many visible towers within in the village. The village is dominated by the Medieval watch tower and fortress of the Renaissance master Fillipo Brunelleschi. The fortress is now open to the public at the weekends, and the small entrance fee includes a guided tour starting from the dungeons right up to the top of the domineering watch tower. From the top of the tower there is a fabulous photo opportunity to snap or video the spectacular surrounding countryside. The tours are usually lead by Professor Giovanni Fascetti and his team who will not only guide you though this Medieval masterpiece but also give you some insight into the village's history and curiosities. Well worth a visit is the local parish church PIEVE DI SANTA MARIA. The Church was first mentioned in 934 AD, but documents infer that it already existed some time before. The present construction dates back to the 12th Century and is a well-preserved example of a Pisan-Romanesque church. Positioned in the apse is a magnificent wooden sculpture of the Descent of Christ from the Cross, it dates back to the very early part of the 13th Century.
