Villa
Nestled in a quiet, old village, the villa is accessed via a calade (small path) through a wooden gate surrounded by old stone walls and well tended private gardens where plenty of sun and shade will make your lunches and dinners memorable ; from the large terrace accessed via 2 French doors you can admire the ever changing panoramic landscape of rolling hills, vineyards and meandering trails.
The house is fully equipped for four persons with a separate very well appointed kitchen, a sunny living /dining room with a fireplace and shelves well stocked with French and English books. The two bedrooms (one with a queen size that can be split in 2 single beds, the other with a king size bed ) are separated by a fully equipped bathroom. A perfect venue for a family holiday in the south of France
I started looking for a house to rent in the area of Uzès in 2013. When I met Ghislaine and David I knew I had found the perfect place. It was to be the venue for a wonderful family holiday, one in which everyone could have their place by the pool, or chose the gardens or terraces to enjoy a peaceful, quiet alternative.
So last year after visiting on an annual basis we finally had the family holiday of our dreams.

The house, garden, pool, hosts and surroundings of Serviers are worth a minimum of a week or two to enjoy the area.
I particularly recommend the hospitality and taste of this very hospitable franco-canadien couple.
The amazing pictures of the site are 100% real!
Don't miss such a wonderful experience close to the Pont du Gard and Uzès, a lovely town which offers the most exciting markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
I 'll come back any time of year...

About the neighborhood
The nearest village, Montaren, 2 kms away has a superb restaurant where there is also a full bakery, a very well stocked super market and a pharmacy.
The splendid medieval/Renaissance town of Uzès, just 5 km away, has plenty of shopping opportunities; the celebrated Wednesday local food market and the renowned Saturday colourful market, Place aux herbes, are not to be missed as well as very fine restaurants.
Our home is very well located to take in the very diverse and rich Languedoc region: to the North, the Cévennes mountains are a great destination for hiking, canoeing, sightseeing and prehistoric caves, dotted with beautiful ancient perched villages; the Mediterranée and the larger cities of Arles, Avignon, Nîmes and Montpellier.

Inexpensive public transport is available to Nîmes and Avignon and other places via Edgard transports stopping in our village.
