With Weymouth to the west (15 miles) and Swanage to the east (16.5 miles),the village of West Lulworth makes a perfect base for exploring the Purbeck region of Dorset. There are plenty of walks to enjoy through the countryside and along the coast,with both Lulworth Cove,a famous spot for fossil hunting (1 mile),and the natural arch of Durdle Door nearby (1.5 miles). The magnificent Lulworth Castle is a little way inland (3 miles). This is a fantastic base for exploring the Jurassic Coast,with Ringstead Bay (11.5 miles) and Kimmeridge Bay (8.5 miles) offering wonderful views. A little further afield are the market town of Dorchester (13 miles) and the seaside resort of Bournemouth (22 miles). A lovely space to relax in,it offers plenty of comfortable seating,TV/DVD and a number of original features including exposed beams,a Purbeck stone floor and a traditional wood burner set in a stone fireplace. There's also a light and inviting dining room. Four steps lead up from the lounge into the kitchen which is fully equipped with an oven,fridge,freezer,microwave,washing machine and dishwasher. There's also a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Three steps lead up from the lounge to the first bedroom,which is a cosy dual-aspect double room. Three steps lead down to the en-suite shower room with low eaves which is complete with a shower and WC. A further seven steps lead up to the second landing where you will find the twin bedroom,which features a window seat,exposed ceiling beams,a stone chimney and low eaves. Steps lead from the path at the back of the cottage up to a raised lawn which has views over the hills and is fenced off from the steep slope above the path. Off-road parking is available for one car. More
