About the neighborhood
The area is semi rural and ideal for those wishing to get away from the stress of every day. However there are many nearby attractions including; Hackett bunjee jump/ zip wire/ pendulum swing/ toboggan and tree walk within 3km; Jurques zoo 12km. Seaside towns such as Granville are about 45 minutes drive.
Getting around
it's just a 10 min drive from Vire, where you can go for restaurants / more general shopping. Vire train station has direct trains to Paris which is approximately 2.5 hours journey. It is just an easy ride from the Normandy sightseeing spots (Omaha beach, Utah beach, American war cemetery, Point du Hoc, Saint-mere Eglise, Mont Saint-Michel). In other words it's the perfect base for a historical trip through D-day landings. Driving through the beautiful French countryside to the different spots is an amazing experience; set your GPS to shortest route instead of fastest to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The roads here are rarely busy!
