Situated in a wonderful, tranquil setting - the unique location of the cottages, in the courtyard of an 19c watermill (built in 1851 by Austin's Great Grand Uncle) adds greatly to the relaxed atmosphere at Mill Farm is a special one.

A hidden gem!
A hidden gem!
Nestled in the leafy village is this great accommodation. Surrounded by beautiful trees and a meandering river it is picture perfect Ireland.
We stayed for two nights. Beautiful stone houses and great spacious bedrooms.
Situations 20 mins from Wexford and 15 mins from new Ross. The location is an old Mill and it was heart the of the town years ago and still holds that strength of place today. The cottages are a testimony to that strength and resolve of older times. It is like stepping back in time.
Catherine is a great host and supports you as much or little as you need. Perfectly placed to discover alternative parts of Wexford. The area in and around is surrounded by 1798 rebellion history. Great place for kids and adults alike. Will bring golf clubs and bikes the next time. Thanks for a great stay. Philip

Excellent cottages. Highly recommend!
We had an absolutely fantastic family reunion at Mill Farm Cottages for two nights while attending a wedding at Horetown House.
From the moment I began planning our stay Catherine could not have been helpful with information about the houses, location and general queries. She was so communicative and it made my job a lot easier when organising for 16 adults.
We rented the three cottages. They were gorgeous, spacious, incredibly clean, stunning setting (on a river at the mill in Foulksmill) and very comfortable.
The space is great for families. I would love to go back with my friends and all our kids. They have a great garden for kids, the recreation room with table tennis table, outdoor kids toys, a play house and two gorgeous bunny rabbits.
A new cafe has opened up the road and that was really nice to walk to so no one had to make breakfast!
I couldn’t praise this accommodation, and it’s management, higher. Highly recommend it. Can’t wait to go back!

Great spot
We really enjoyed our stay at Mill Farm. We were very fortunate with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the local village and park for walks. Our hosts Austin and Catherine were more than helpful from leaving us firewood for the evenings to giving us information re places to see and where to eat out. Our husbands really enjoyed the tour of the old mill. Highly recommend this spotless cottage which had everything er needed. Thanks

Wonderful stay as always
Austin and Catherine are great hosts, this is our fourth year coming to Mill farm, we all love staying here, our Four children love coming here, lots of play area, they also enjoy feeding the rabbits and Donkeys.
We stay in Fern cottage it’s lovely and clean, feels like home.
We feel sad every time we have to leave.
Would recommend families to stay here it’s Amazing

Wonderful Wexford Stay.
Very happy with our rental. Some nice touches by owners such as milk plus biscuits left out for us on arrival. Extremely clean and any additional requests were met. Would highly recommend.

Great cottage to stay for a holiday
Beautiful, peaceful area to stay for a holiday. Catherine and Austin are the perfect friendly hosts for this beautiful cottage. Thank you to Austin for showing us the water mill working. Would recommend anyone to stay here for a holiday.

best holiday ever
just home from a weeks break at mill farm and already booked for next year.
this was my second year to holiday at mill farm.
loads for the 4 kids to do and Cathrine and Austin are a lovely people to deal with.
I would highly recommend any one with kids to stay at mill farm

Great house and hosts
This is a great base for exploring Wexford - the house is great and the outside space and toys are great for kids. Catherine and Austin were very friendly and on hand to help with any queries. A brilliant holiday :)

Emplacement et cottage magnifiques
L'emplacement est tellement agréable et paisible. Le cottage est magnifique et il ne manque rien. C'est idéal pour une famille avec enfants car tout est prévu pour s'amuser, se reposer et profiter de la nature.
De plus, Catherine et Austin sont des gens merveilleux, très accueillants et tellement serviable.
On peut également apprécier les animaux mais par manque de temps nous n'avons pas pu en profiter. Quel dommage.
Je recommande vivement cette propriété et nul doute que nous reviendrons avec autant de plaisir.

About the neighborhood
A perfect touring base – Mill Farm Cottages, located in the village of Foulksmills, is only a twenty minute drive to many of County Wexford’s major tourist attractions and towns. The village of Foulksmills has a small shop, a pub and village park. Clongeen Stores, 2km from the cottage has an excellent local shop and publ. Wellingtonbridge - 6km comprising a supermarket, drapery, fuel station, hairdressing salons hardware/garden centre, beauty salon, optician and local chemist are available. From Wellingtonbridge the following routes are signposted The main route to Wexford Town - the historic Bannow Bay - Normans landed here in 1169 Duncannon Beach/Fort - tours given Ballyhack Car Ferry - trip to Dunmore East & Waterford
Getting around
Located in a quiet, rural part of south east Ireland - the village of Foulksmills (or Foulkesmill as it is sometimes spelt) was recently described as a 'hidden gem' with its tranquil setting. A beautiful area to walk around, however a car is needed to get to some of the top tourist spots e.g. Hook Lighthouse and of course Loftus Hall - Ireland's best known 'Haunted House' - tours available from April to September daily. Cyclists can easily head to Kilmore Quay for a wonderful day at this seaside fishing village - taking the 'Norman Route'. Also the greenway from Waterford is now open & the option to cycle from Waterford to Dungarvan town is a must for active holidaymakers.

How to get there
Located in the south west part of County Wexford - the cottages are just a 40 minutes drive from the ferry port of ROSSLARE HARBOUR. Waterford Airport, the nearest airport, is within an hour's drive with the main airports of Cork & Dublin two and a half hours drive. Dublin and Cork are serviced by Ryanair, Air Lingus and other airlines. We are also only a two hour drive from Dublin Ferry Port. With the new motorways - County Wexford is very easily accessible and Mill Farm Cottages are only a short drive for any direction. Private parking for two cars per cottage is provided, with cars parked at owners risk.
