A short walk from the center of Sarrians, a charming typical Provence village dating back to the tenth century, La Lavande offers a relaxing respite in an idyllic location. Twenty minutes from Avignon and Orange, forty five from Arles, one hour from Marseille and the Mediterranean, two hours from Nice, four hours from Barcelona and Geneva, La Lavande is centrally located in an area of Europe packed with recreational opportunities: history, museums, architecture, antiquities, hiking, bike riding, equestrian centers, tennis, golf, nature preserves, Mediterranean beaches, gastronomy, wine tastings and vineyards, local markets, and shopping (did you know that the denim fabric we all wear came originally from Nimes?. That's why it's called denim: de Nimes: from Nimes). All of these are available to you at La Lavande. Of course, if a quiet day by the pool is what you need, that’s available too. La Lavande is wonderfully private and insulated, with a cornucopia of roses, palm trees, cypress, jasmine, laurier, iris, fragrant lavender, fig and olive trees and more, all surrounding the private four meter by eight meter pool. The house consists of an open living space with fully equipped kitchen, dining area, den/office area, and living room. Outside the dining area is the herb garden with fresh basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme and more.. to give your foods an authentic Provencal flavor. The villa also has a queen bedroom, a double bedroom and a single bedroom, toilet, and bathroom. French doors open onto a terrace which leads to a summer kitchen and barbecue and the pool. The guest house, facing the pool has a queen bedroom with a table and two chairs, a shower, sink and toilet, and its own terrace with table and chairs. Amenities include microwave oven, toaster, automatic dishwasher and coffeemaker, high speed internet access, clothes washer, cable TV with multi-region DVD player and CD player. Parties are limited to six persons. More

About the neighborhood
A five minute walk from La Lavande is the village of Sarrians, dating to the Tenth Century. Visit the boulangeries to buy your morning baguettes, the local butcher for fresh and unique meats and cheeses, or the local outdoor Farmer's market every Sunday on the town square. If you're interested in wine tasting, we have created a map of fifteen of the town's wineries that offer tastings. Sarrians traces its origins back to Guillaume the First, Count of Provence, known as the Liberator. He was buried in 993 in the village church. Sarrians has the remains of its 14th century ramparts and a tower. Also see the 15th c. Brunelly château, the Milord from the late 12th c., the 13th c. Tourreau castle, and the St. Privat farm. Mont Ventoux is well known in France and is often included in the Tour...
How to get there
From the South and East take the A7 (pay road) to the Avignon Nord exit (23). Just after the toll booths is a small rotary that goes underneath an overpass. Take the first right up onto the overpass road (don't go under the overpass on the rotary). That is the D942. Take the D942 towards Carpentras (Northeasterly). Get off at the D31 towards Sarrians. The D31 is also known as Charles DeGaulle Avenue. Just as you pass the Sarrians city limits look for some houses on the right. Take the next right (hairpin turn that reverses parallel to the D31 -- see insert). Follow the road to the left and look for number 3 on the left. If you come to a 'T' at the D31, you have gone too far. From the North take the A7 to the D950. Follow the D950 into Sarrians to a roundabout where you will ...
