"La Trouvaille" is a genuine find in the delightful village of Sablet, only 12km from Vaison-la-Romaine. Built into the 12th-century ramparts of the medieval village center, this beautiful old Provencal stone house serves as a local landmark because of the hole in the wall--'le trou'--which creates the terrace. Ideal for visitors who want to feel the pulse of village life, this house has a florist a and "boulangerie" as neighbors.

Throughout, the beauty of walls of locally-quarried stone, traditional Provençal ceilings of plaster and dark exposed beams, and handsome traditional tiles give “La Trouvaille” its special warmth and character. The house is spacious and inviting, providing an unusual degree of privacy with separate relaxation areas on each floor.

We stayed here for two weeks with friends. It is a perfect home for four people. La Trouvaille was all we had hoped for and expected. Thick stone walls to keep us cool on days of 36 degree heat, a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom each and wonderful communal downstairs area commandeered by a large country farmhouse table where we...

Four of us stayed for a week at La Trouvaille. From our first emailed contacts with Deb, to our initial meeting with the local manager, the house itself, and the village and the whole experience were more than we expected or hoped for. The house is larger than it looked from the photos, beautifully appointed, fully equipped - we lacked...

Out of all the many villages and towns we visited Sablet came out on top as a place to make a base. A cheerful village, friendly local people, shopping on the doorstep plus Vaison nearby if needed. The house was very comfortable with different sitting areas and lovely bedrooms, a really well equipped kitchen, and a lovely terrace for afternoon...
