La Perruche Holiday Gite has been lovingly renovated with original beams remaining. It consists of 3 bedrooms, one double with en-suite wet room on the ground floor, one twin room and one single room upstairs.
Upstairs has a second bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet.
The lounge offers a cosy wood burner for those cooler evenings and in the summer months (July-August) the garden offers the relaxation of a hot tub, along with seating area and BBQ.

A small welcome basket of essentials will be provided for you free of charge to help you settle in, including a bottle of wine. (wine for 2+ nights booked)
Logs can be purchased from the owner if you wish at €6 per basket.

High chair and travel cot available on request, free of charge.
There are far reaching views of the rolling countryside at La Perruche Holiday Gite, making it a perfect place to stay for total relaxation.
Just a few little house rules......
Kindly note that La Perruche Holiday Gite is non smoking, so please respect that. Smoking is permitted in the front garden. Please inform me if you wish to smoke and I will be happy to provide an ash tray. Electric cigarettes are permitted indoors. Please do not smoke near the hot tub.
The hot tub is seasonal (July-August) and intended for adults and not suitable for unsupervised young children. It is not a paddling pool so please do not leave children unattended. Please use the hot tub sensibly.
The damages / excessive cleaning deposit will be returned automatically within 3 -7 days after departure. Deductions will be taken should there be any damages / excessive cleaning.
Pets are welcome but must be treated for parasites. Kindly contact me should you wish to bring your pets. There may be a charge for any excessive cleaning or damage caused by pets.
La Perruche Holiday Gite does not have the facilities for charging of electric cars. Please do not attempt to charge your vehicle. The nearest electric port is in Le Teilleul (4km) .

This is an immaculate, well equipped and comfortable gite. The garden is pretty and peaceful, with a lovely outlook and has a hot tub, good quality outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Your host, Nicky, is lovely: on hand to help but never intrusive. La Perruche is a gem.

Quiet, Comfortable and Cosy
A Lovely gite with great facilities in a Quiet area of Normandy for 4 of us including 11 and 15 year old Boys for a fantastic holiday. The Gite is a very high standard with everything you could possibly need including the Hot Tub. Close to St Hillaire with a choice of supermarkets and a fantastic place to base yourself to visit lots of great places such as Mont St Michel, St Malo, Domfront, etc. Kids also loved Go Karting at Mortain and a visit to Ange Michel Theme park and Alligator Bay Reptile Zoo
Cannot recommend highly enough.
We will definitely come back!

A home from home
A wonderful gite which was welcoming and comfortable for 5 of us including a four year old for a great holiday. It is a very high standard with everything you could possibly need.

Comfy country cottage
Nice place, everything you need for a comfortable stay in west Normandie. Good layout and facilities. Garden is small but the hot tub is a plus. We enjoyed our stay, thanks Nicky for being a good host.

Absolutely lovely gite with stunning views. Very clean and lovely and warm whilst outside was bitter. Nicky was a lovely host and the gite had everything you could want/need in the cupboards!! We had 3 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room,very spacious but yet at the same time lovely and cosy. We are already planning our next trip. We would highly recommend a trip to this area at this time of year as there was lots to see and do. From ice skating to the most amazing magical Christmas lights I have ever seen!!! A truly lovely holiday.

Truly wonderful stay and an excellent gite.
This was a last minute choice due to fuel strikes and forecast weather...and I so glad we did. Lovely clean and modern gite set in super quiet location but also handy for supplies. Visited mont St Michael, Granville, Bayeux and beaches. Fresh muscles and super sized prawns available locally... superb fishing and hunting shop...spent two hours in there...and rounded off by the lovely Nicky, an excellent host who lives in the cottage next door...very handy for the ferries too. Thoroughly recommend... we'll be back for sure...

Great location for exploring, relaxing, impressively equipped. We had a delightful stay. Nicky proved to a wonderful accommodating host. We had a deeply relaxing time in the most prosaic of settings.

wonderful place to visit and stay!
We had heard about La Perruche and decided to see for ourselves whether the rumours of it's welcoming and friendly host were true! Well ........... they were all true and then some.
La Perruche is set in the pretty hamlet of Heusse, just outside Le Teilleul in Basse-Normandie. On arrival we received a beautiful welcome basket, full of goodies needed for our stay. It is pretty, homely and extremely comfortable and our host, Nicky was attentive and welcoming. There was plenty of parking available, useful if you've got more than one car in the party. The decor and layout of the gite is perfect, allowing you to either spend a lazy day here in the hot tub - included in the price, or in the winter, to cozy up in front of the lovely woodburner in the lounge.
The amenities are quite close to hand and you are surrounded by lovely countryside, ideal for exploring and rambles if that's what you want to do. Domfront, the beautiful medieval town is only 20 mins or so drive from Heusse and if you are looking to visit the coast for the day, it is very easy to do so.
We will definitely be returning as soon as we can - thanks for a great holiday Nicky!!!

Heusse is situated in beautiful countryside, just 4 kilometers from all essential amenities in Le Teilleul, including groceries, fuel, pharmacy, vet and bakery. Heusse is easily accessible from the Channel ports of Cherbourg, Caen, Le Harve and St Malo. In the local area you will find paintballing, pedaloes, fishing, open air swimming pool, horse riding, gardens, cascades and much more..
The medieval towns of Domfront and Fougeres are a short car journey away, where you will find shops, bars and restaurants as well as the fabulous castles and views. The town of Mortain and Saint Hiliare du Harcouet are just 10 minutes away, where you will find weekly markets, shops, bars, restaurants, an open air swimming pool and the beautiful Grande Cascades.
The infamous Abbaye du Mont-Saint Michel is a must to visit and is approximately 45 minutes by car. Other places of interest are Le Mans race circuit, D Day Landings and Bayeux, famous for its tapestry.
