Conversion to holiday bungalow Sept 2010. Set in rural surroundings on edge of a pretty village, in the grounds of our house.

The accommodation is for 2-3 in one comfortably appointed bedroom with a king-size bed which can be converted into two single beds, with a further leather sofa bed which has a pull out double bed. Please note when sofa bed is pulled out it does limit space in lounge. May be more ideal for 1 adult or two children to sleep on sofa bed.

The bedroom is fully carpeted with bedside table and wardrobe.

The lounge is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen including electric oven, grill and hob with a hooded extractor fan. Fridge with small freezer compartment and micro wave. Tiled standing area.

About the neighborhood
East Harptree is a small friendly quite village but is supported by a excellant pub the Waldergrave Arms - with good food and special curry and Lasagne nights with a drink for £6! small village shop and lovely walks-a wooded combe opposite the Leylands and up to the mendip hills to wonderful views across the Chew valley and lakes or views of the cheddar valley to Glastonbury tor.

The famous Chew Valley lakes-known for good trout and carp fishing-boats,tuition look at www.bristolwater.co.uk/fishing for prices.
These Lakes have picnic areas and great walks and cycle paths.

Horse Stables near -Tynings trekking centre Shipham for trekking on Mendip Hills- 15mins

We are 35mins from the Bath and West show ground which holds many venues-Agricultral ,garden shows

How to get there
Car essential as bus service very poor.

From M5 north and south Jct 21 take A370 to Congresbury then turn right onto B3133to Churchill right onto A38 to traffic lights and then left on the A368 to Bath. When in West Harptree take right on the B3114 to Chewton Mendip. Leylands is 2nd house on left after the East Harptree Boundry sign.

From A303 take A37 on Podimore roundabout to Shepton Mallet/Bristol. Of A37 take B3135 to Cheddar. When at Green Ore traffic lights take right to Chewton Mendip onto A39. Take left in Chewton Mendip on the B3114 to Litton and East Harptree. Carry on the B3114 to other side of East Harptree, Leylands is on the right before a lay by on the left.

From London take M4 west, get off junction 18 to A46 to Bath. A4 through Bath to Bristol then otherside of Bath ro...
