Casina di Rosa is a lovely stone house in a medieval village in the heart of Tuscany. It was built by the owner's great-grandparents and has always been in the family. It is perfectly located to explore southern Tuscany, situated as it is halfway between Siena and the coast of the Maremma, with easy access to the most famous sites in Tuscany. Hot springs are nearby and vineyards and olive groves surround the village. The house has a lovely kitchen furnished in a romantic country style and equipped with all the necessary amenities (washing machine, filter coffee machine, oven, fridge and freezer, toaster, etc.) to ensure that guests are comfortable. Some essentials for cooking are provided (spices, salt, sugar, tea and coffee, etc.). There is an open fireplace ideal to relax in the cold winter evenings. The large bedroom, with stone wa... Reviewed June 12, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We found ourselves unwinding here after a hectic 4 days in Florence. It is so cozy with plenty of firewood to have a blazing fire whenever we wanted one, a kitchen with everything we needed. We took advantage of the central location which enabled us to take day trips to Montepulciano, Siena, and even the coast. But especially loved returning...

My husband and I spent the most amazing holiday ever! The location was perfect for us! In a small village, faraway from the craziness of big towns, but so reachable to visit them. The owners, Gloria and Marcel couldn't show more hospitality than they did. Everything we asked for they did, with a smile and a gentleness which impressed us...

Management response:

Thank you! And thank you for the thoughtful gifts you sent! We were very touched!

About the neighborhood
Casina di Rosa is located in a medieval hill-top village in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. It is actually in the village, so within walking distance to shops, bars and the local restaurant (excellent). A perfect base for an authentic feel of the Tuscan lifestyle. The village is at a crossroad among several very popular areas of Tuscany, such as the Val d'Orcia, the Maremma, the Siena area, Chianti, Crete Senesi and even Monte Amiata is an easy day trip. There is enough to keep our guests busy for two weeks without them having to change accommodation every other day.

There are free natural hot springs nearby, beautiful open and unspoilt countryside, Siena and the coast of the Maremma are equidistant (35 minute drive).

The village itself has all the main services and a fab...

The village is on the main Florence - Siena - Grosseto busline, but we highly recommend your rent a car because life will be much easier. We have had guests who have spent some time here relying on public transportation and even bikes, but we still recommend you rent a car for the week.
