Aore Point Private Retreat is your coconut island oasis, perfectly located across the harbour from Luganville Airport, Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu.
Charming, eclectic, and comfortable, it is the perfect place for families with children or a couple of families.
Its direct oceanfront location provides for sweeping views of the water from the large, thatch-covered deck, without a neighbour in sight. Choose to chill out, scuba dive, snorkel, or go for an adventure! Easy access to tours for Blue Holes, Champagne Beach, Horse Riding, Millenium Caves, and many more natural wonders.

This is a family home that relies on natural resources such as solar power and tank water. Guests should be mindful of this when using water and power, to be efficient in their usage. There is a back-up generator that can run out of fuel if power is misused.
The Caretaker on site has a family, we do not allow groups with the intent of large parties to stay at the house in respect to the family and the locals.

Absolutely wonderful spot! Amazing to arrive by boat seeing the wonderful house set in beautiful grounds. The brand new jetty made for easy access without any wet feet. The house had everything we needed and suited our 2 families right down to the kayaks and bikes. Relaxing on the deck was the best part. Snorkelling straight out In front of the house was spectacular. Sandy and his family were very helpful with organising tours etc and our kids enjoyed playing with their kids and visiting the local school. Visiting the local resort for swimming in their pool and dining at their restaurant was a wonderful excursion. Santo is a beautiful island with lots of amazing things to do! We had a brilliant holiday and I am sure we will be back!

Great old fashioned beach house
Privacy, comfort, space ....I rented the house for a Yoga Group and it was perfect. He big deck with massive day beds on it...you could just melt into the and gaze out at the water. At fits I thought that the 15 minute boat ride over from Santo was a bit too much but the realistic it just facilitated another level of letting go. The house looks much better than the photos. It reminded me of being a child in Australia staying in big family beach houses for Summer. And we all had a digital detox...no wifi. What a relief. And plenty of activities if you want...the Resort, great bush walks, and of course all the magic that Santo has to offer just a 15 min boat ride away. Julie and Janine were incredibly helpful as were the caretakers Sandy and Jenny ...

Fantastic house, place, people and country.
What a fantastic place Aore Point Private retreat is. We stayed for 6 nights in April where sometimes the weather can be a bit ordinary. We had 2 days of rain but with the amazing deck out the front, the reef 10 meters from that deck and all the lawn available throughout the property grounds our family of five always had something to do. Aore Island is remote from Santo which is what we liked. You get there by water taxi which are incredibly reliable and quick enough. Our kids created a fantastic bond with Jennifer and Sandyβs (caretakers) children Atel, Roslyn and Ronnie. There is an amazing amount of space in the house with 5 bedrooms, spacious kitchen and three bathrooms. There is a great array of games for kids and adults to do in the evening or that rainy day. Tour over to Santo island and hire a driver for the day to take you up the East side and see the Blue Holes. Amazing. We donβt normally go back to a place after we have been there so we can try something new but believe we will come back here in the future as it was one of the best holidays we have ever been on.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic
Just arrived home from a 6 night stay at this amazing beachfront house with 7 adults, rooms are amazing bathrooms amazing, massive front deck AMAZING and the snorkelling out the front was stunning! Sandy and Jennifer are the most kind and helpful people too, we all enjoyed every minute of our stay, and travelling to and from the main land was a piece of cake, we made use of the kayaks and bikes and explored the island and recommend, fresh water plantation for lunch or dinner it was great! Thank you so much will be back again, the photos don't do this place any justice as its beyond your expectations!!!

Perfect Combination of Relaxation and Adventure
This house is the perfect accommodation for two families. We loved the configuration of the bedrooms and bathroom, it gave everyone enough space and privacy if needed. The day beds and large dining table on the deck were perfect. The location is amazing - just far enough from town to feel away from everything but close enough if you needed to go over for supplies. We went shopping for all our food before going over to the house and we were so glad we did because once we were there we did not want to leave.
We all loved snorkeling out the front and made good use of the kayaks. The water was very safe for our children and we felt comfortable being able to watch them from the balcony. My son and I were even lucky enough to swim with a dugong and her baby. We also spent some time exploring the Island and had a lovely lunch and snorkel out the front of the resort down the road.
Mr Sandy and Jennifer's (caretakers) are lovely people and nothing was ever a problem. Our children loved their children and are still talking about them.
Loved, loved, loved every minute of our time at Aore Point Private Retreat. Hopefully we will visit again one day.

Pure bliss !
This property is fantastic, we all loved our time here and found everything to be very easy and relaxing - Sandy and his lovely wife Jenifer plus his gorgeous kids were fantastic caretakers of the property but totally left us alone (unless we needed there help).
The beach is great for swimming when the tide is high and there is some amazing snorkeling past the little jetty - just drift down or kayaks are there to use if you prefer !
We made great friends with Billy the boat man and he took us to town anytime we needed to go shopping or sightseeing - the house had nearly everything you need - though some basics were missing - which was also missing at the first house we stayed at - so make sure you bring soap, dishwashing liquid, and a cleaning cloth or sponge - there was no broom or bucket for the mop ether but Jenifer was happy to lend me hers. But these are minor hiccups in what was absolute paradise !!!!! Amazing holiday house and very comfortable. Xx thanks so much for letting us all stay and have such incredible memories to bring home with us x Amy

You will be picked up from Luganville airport by a driver with an 8 seater bus. If your party is larger, let us know, and we get a second bus arranged.
You will be taken into Luganville where can convert local currency, pick up groceries and get a local SIM card if you're desperate for data! (Cost ~ Vatu1500 per bus - AUD$18 - approximate)
You will be driven to the jetty where the local water taxi will pick you up and take you across the harbour to your Private Retreat. (Cost ~ Vatu1500 per taxi - AUD$18 - approximate)
Any time you want to return to town, a quick trip on the local water taxi puts you straight into the middle of town. Each trip is ~ Vatu1500 per vehicle - AUD$18 - approximate)
