Beautiful area ❤️
The house is was really clean and had every item needed to cook and live there. Shower is hot and the heating is very good. Location is superb, Weather it's forest walks, mountain climbs or a visit to a town or Belfast. We hope to stay again. Tollymore forest park is a must visit.

August holiday
Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. Rostrevor is a beautiful area with lots to see and do. The cottage is in walking distance of the mountains, the sea and all the local amenities. We will be back.

It was a pleasure to greet you and your family on arrival and glad you found the cottage convenient to all the surrounding amenities. As it is sometimes referred to "Rostrevor is Switzerland without the snow." Looking forward to seeing you in the future.

Perfect location for holiday in the region
We arrived at the house to be greeted by Denis and Josephine. They made us feel very welcome and showed us everything we needed to know about the house and surrounding area. The house is surprisingly specious and we had plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 children and has a nice size and enclosed back garden which is perfect for children. The kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil one would need for self catering. The house was spotless on arrival and hosts had provided milk and buns/sweets which were very welcome after a long journey. The hosts are only every a phone call away but we had no need to contact them at all over the stay. The house is set in a lovely quiet neighbourhood and no more than a 10 minute walk to the village and also there is a local shop just 2 minutes away. It is a perfect base to explore the many tourists attractions in the area. Our only regret was that we could only stay for one week. We hope to return.

Ideal location with stunning views
We spent a glorious week over Easter in An Radhairc. The house is ideally located for exploring the village and walking through Kilbroney Forest and Park. The entrance to the Fairy Trail is a short 7 minute walk from the house and is a beautiful walk to enter the larger park area. Newcastle is an easy 30 minutes drive away if you want to explore the amazing Mourne Mountains and Slieve Gullion Forest Park is also only a 30 minute drive, both well worth visiting. The house is well equipped with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay away from home. The beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything required for cooking, back garden is very private and not overlooked by others and the views from the sun room are stunning. Denis and Josephine met us on arrival and were very helpful in showing us around the house, telling us the best ways to enter the first park leaving us with milk and tasty biscuits. I’d you're as lucky as we were with the weather don’t forget to pack the sun cream!

Perfect location
Had a lovely stay. Denis & Josephine were very accommodating & made us feel very welcome. Plenty of room in the house & a nice little garden, parking was no problem either. The view from the sun lounge is stunning, you could be in Switzerland without the snow! Rostrevor village is a short walk away & warrenpoint is just after that, both are well worth going to

Lovely house, great view!
My family of 5 stayed here over Easter and it had everything we needed. Denis was so easy to make arrangements with and was very accommodating with arrival and departure times. We were welcomed by Josephine who gave us a tour and left us with milk and plenty of biscuits! The house itself had everything we needed, decent shower and comfortable beds being the most important. Everything was clean and tidy and the kitchen well equipped. The weather wasn’t the best but we had the lovely fire to light when we returned from a day walking in the nearby Kilbroney Park or the Mournes. The kids loved the sunroom at the front of the house the best, enjoying the view (while playing on their tablets!). Thanks for having us, we will definitely be back!

Great location for walks, scenery and touring, accommodation dated and tired
Disappointed as the promise of a welcoming fire didn't happen. the house took a couple of days to warm up. Once warmed up no problems with it keeping hot.The house OK but dated and lacked some basic comforts in the living room. I was disturbed by the implication of paying the electric meter bill separately, but thanks to the very good response from the Trip Advisor team, the misunderstanding was resolved quickly.

True to my word I returned.
We stayed in An Radhairc last year and booked immediately for this year. We were fortunate to spend last week there over the Fiddler's Green festival. The house was just as we remembered and we continued to spend a large portion of our time in the sun room attached to the front of the house. There are panoramic views which regardless of the weather can be soaked in all day long. In fact we did spend an entire day of the holiday just sitting there, reading the papers and enjoying the view. The festival which was held in Rostrevor was less than a 10 minute walk and we spent a lot of time in the village enjoying all it had to offer, many of the events are free of charge. In between preparing some meals in the house we ate out a lot more this time as there was live music everywhere to enjoy and a fabulous atmosphere. The local people are super friendly. Highlights were: superb sandwiches in the Old School House, Tasty gourmet burgers in the Rostrevor Inn and delicious fish and chips in the Church, with the bonus of the children eating free with the early bird menu. The location and price of this holiday let is second to none, it provides excellent value for money. We will definitely return next year again if we can get a booking!

It was our pleasure to have you return again this year to An Radhairc. As you remark, the local people are so friendly and the village of Rostrevor provides for all holiday needs, including top class restaurants. However it's the presence of welcome visitors that make this idyllic area of Co Down what it is. Josephine.

Stunning views, fantastic location
We had the pleasure of renting An Radhairc for a month in June. The views from the property’s sunroom of the mountains and forest are truly stunning! Kilbroney Forest Park and Rostrevor village are within easy walking distance. There is a handy small spar shop also a few minutes walk from the property. Denis and Josephine are lovely hosts, most welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend and we will be sure to return again.
