Perfect base for our busy week meeting friends and family
The house is spacious, very clean, and well equipped. The owner was helpful before our stay. Easy access to the things we wanted to do, meeting friends and family, walking and relaxing. We'd be happy to stay again.

Everything about this cottage is wonderful.
This is an impeccably clean country cottage 1.5 hours from London by train, where you can take hikes and sleep comfortably. Although it rained during our visit, we had a nice walk in the woods, guided by owner Lucy, who was so very hospitable, helpful and kind to us. We ate at the pub just down the road, which was convenient and welcoming. We could not have been more satisfied with our visit. Thank you so much, Lucy!

5 day break
Very spacious 'cottage' with large lounge and upstairs bedroom. Only criticism would be a bit dark inside owing to shrubs screening the conservatory and other windows. Large garden for our small dog to explore, although not 100% secure owing to old picket fencing. Extremely pleasant owners (on site) who did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, including an assorted selection of dried fruits in a box, tea, coffee, milk, waffles and many other items. Would highly recommend. Off road parking.

Lovely get-away
We stayed at the cottage for only 2 nights and couldn't fault it. We were amazed to find that it was actually a detached cottage tucked away in the owners garden after wrongly expecting an annexe attached to the owners house. To be honest the pictures don't do it justice, and the property is way bigger than we expected. We will definitely be returning for longer.

Excellent in every way
This is an extremely comfortable, well located, friendly place to stay whether an individual, couple, small or medium sized family. Between the lounge and the breakfast room, there is space to spread out or to be together. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and facilities for self catering are amply provided.
Lucy (the owner) and her family are welcoming and readily on hand to answer any queries or just have a chat yet are never intrusive.
Impossible to recommend highly enough. Many thanks.

Spacious, Great for Short Breaks, Welcoming Hosts
As one of the guests to this short experience I can say I was impressed with the property and the hosts. The house does have a very spacious open plan layout which had everything you would need for a stay in the area for a good week or 2. The driveway would easily fit 2 cars but does back out on to a main road so not for those who are nervous drivers however we found it to be okay. The rooms are great for familys with 3 beds upstairs and one bed downstairs. all rooms were clean and spotless with lots of things to keep kids entertained and books if you like to read. The toilets and shower were clean however the shower water pressure was weak which was fine but is the only improvement I would say needs to be made.
We only stayed for 2 nights but could have easily stayed for longer! thank you for your hospitality!

The nearest pub (The Jolly Drover) is across the road; it serves good food and drink and is family friendly. There are 2 excellent Indian restaurants in the centre of Liss and a wonderful cafe (Turtle Bean) plus several good restaurants in Petersfield.
There is easy access to the coast (Wittering and Southsea approx 35 mins drive), to Queen Elizabeth Country Park (12 mins drive), to Alice Holt Forest/Go Ape (20 mins drive) and to Liphook Golf Course (10 mins drive), Jane Austen's house in Chawton, polo at Cowdray Park, Gilbert White's house and garden in Selborne, Bird World near Farnham and Paultons Family Theme Park near Romsey (50 mins drive). This is a wonderful location from which to explore Hampshire and the Southdowns AONB.
Getting around
Liss station is approx a mile's walk and trains from Liss station go directly to Guildford, London Waterloo (70 mins) and Portsmouth Harbour (50min).
