Superb luxury penthouse apartment in great location, with very large sunny balcony overlooking Med just below. Mojacar Playa is a relatively quiet family resort Spain with low rise development. Plenty to do and interesting places to visit in the surrounding area but not loud or crowded unlike most Costas. Lay in bed and watch sunrise over the Med, enjoy a late night drink on the balcony looking out on the sea or mountains behind or wander 20 metres to the uncrowded enclosed communal pool (13x7m) and gardens for a leisurely swim. Amazing Views and quiet location
This was our second stay in this apartment and once again we had a wonderful holiday. The views from the large balcony are wonderful with views to the sea and mountains. Very private and peaceful. The pool is only a few steps away and always seems to be quiet. It is the best complex in this area. The car park is very handy too. Good aircon system in the apartment for your comfort and we found it useful to have the Wifi that the owner installed this year. We definitely hope to return again in the near future.

Comfortable with great view
Lovely basic apartment, great terrace with fantastic views, used to wake up in the morning and look straight out to sea.
Only two small points to state, firstly shower needs a new shower head and secondly it would of been lovely to of had use of a hair dryer.
It was peaceful and the pool area was good.
The car parking was right next to the apartment.

Excellent apartment with super terrace and lovely views
This was our third annual stay in the apartment. It has always been very clean, neat and tidy. There has been everything we have needed for a worry free holiday. The recent addition of broadband is very welcome as well. Would happily recommend this property.

Sweeping panorama
My husband and I stayed here for three and a half weeks and found the location to be quiet, private and with the most fabulous views. We did not eat out very often and eventually got used to the kitchen facilities (the manager of the apartment put right a few of our problems). If you do not drive it is a hard walk back up to the apartment - but good exercise! There is not a supermarket within walking distance but many to choose from in driving distance. However, to sit on the balcony watching the Mediterranean, the sunrises and the moonrises are worth the price alone. Despite a few hiccups with our stay, some of which could and have been corrected and some which were out of everyone's hands ( losing satellite signal because of the wind and British tv no longer being received) we really enjoyed ourselves and would be happy to return.

Surprised directions only got a rating of3 but will look to further improve. The kitchen utensils have been upgraded and added to. The issues with theTV reception are currently beyond our control as BBC and ITV have adopted a new space satellite and a much larger dish is allegedly needed to achieve good reception. This should be addressed by the summer and then all terrestrial channels will again be available. Thank you for comments and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and may well return.

Fabulous views and friendly neighbours
We stayed at this apartment for 4 weeks Feb - March. It is our 3rd visit to this area for a winter month away from the UK. The apartment is the best we have stayed at in terms of location and views. When the sun shines (which it did most days) it can be enjoyed all day on the huge balcony. The views are fabulous with great sunrises and moonshine on the sea. We like to walk and found trails all around so didn't need to use the car every day. One small plumbing issue was quickly rectified. We found neighbours to be friendly and helpful and look forward to going back to stay early 2015.

Great Holiday Appartment
This was our second stay in Mojacar Playa & was even better than the first time apartment has everything you need for a long or short stay we would recommend this to friends & family,
with the inter net added what more do you need. The balcony has the sun from first thing till dusk & the views are second to none pool just a short walk from the front door car park just as good, beds very comfortable, neighbours very helpful

TRES BEL APPARTEMENT BIEN EQUIPE ET AVEC UNE VUE MAGNIFIQUE MER/MONTAGNE
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour d'1 semaine dans cette location situé en face de la mer/plage.
L'appartement était très bien équipé, complet et propre.
Petit déjeuné et sieste sur la terrasse et une piscine juste à côté très bien surtout pour les enfants!

Fabulous Apartment
This is probably the best, overall, apartment I have stayed in. The apartment itself is well appointed and the balcony is very large and private, with wonderful views - we spent all our time, whilst in the apartment, out on it. The owner was great to deal with and the whole rental experience was fantastic. We will definitely rent again. The only thing that we did not really like was the 2 single beds and a double would have been far more preferable - but this was a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.

Great apartment for a holiday in the sun!
Spent two weeks here with my boyfriend at the start of the summer season. Couldn't have asked for a better apartment to stay in! It had everything we needed, the kitchen facilities were excellent and we ate in on many nights. The balcony overlooks the mediterranean and has sun all day long. The beach and bars are in easy walking distance, which was great for us in the evenings.
Everything was absolutely spotless when we arrived and the owner couldn't have been more helpful.
The guidebook provided was very useful and has lots of suggestions about what to do in the area, both in Mojacar and further away.
Perfect for young couples looking for some sun!

Huge balcony with excellent views
Our 2nd month long winter stay in this great apartment and everything just as enjoyable as before, the excellent views remain a big plus. The TV and satellite have been updated so we were able to keep up to date with UK channels during our stay. The resort is very quiet at this time of year but many restaurant/bars are open so eating out is not a problem. The apartment is up a steep hill so a car is advisable unless you are very fit. We enjoyed some good walking in the hills above the apartment and in the surrounding areas. We hope to return in 2016.

About the neighborhood
Mojacar Old town is worth a visit. The Playa has an abundance of pleasant bars and good restaurants. There are the usual beach facilities and activities all within walking distance but the beach is rarely overcrowded. There are a few discos , beach bars and night clubs but these are at least 2 miles along the seafront from the apartment, which is at the quiet end of the resort. There is an aquapark and go kart track within 25 minutes by car. And ten pin bowling close by. Golf courses Marina (10 Mins) and the more challenging Desert springs or Valle del Este (both 25 mins). The Moors and Christians festival is a highlight of summer and is usually over the 2nd weekend of June in the Old Town. There is a regular bus service from near the apartment.
Getting around
There are regular buses from the aparthotel terminal below the complex, a 5 minute downhill stroll. Taxis are readily available and cheap. The prom is approx 3k long and is easily accessible on foot as are many bars and restaurants. However, a car is recommended for ease of travel.

The nearest airport is Almeria (55 mins drive) but new Murcia (90 mins by toll or free motorway) and Alicante (2 hrs almost all by motorway) are options. Ryanair and Easyjet are main budget airlines but Monarch, Jet 2 and Flybe are also worth looking at from some regions of UK. Car hire is cheapest Via comparisons on travel supermarket as a good starting point. Taxis from Almeria airport are approximately 75 euros each way. There is coach transfer from Murcia.
