We are looking for a cost effective solution to this that will allow us to keep our rental rates as they are, but unfortunately so far that has not been possible. We are 9 miles (14 km) to the east of Herne Bay and just under 4 miles (6 km) to the west of Margate. The small town of Westgate-on-Sea lies between us and Margate, each town having it's own distinct character and feel. Other nearby villages to explore include Acol (1 mile, 2 km) and St Nicholas at Wade and Sarre (3 miles, 5 km). Being close to the coast, and in Southern England, sunshine compares favourably with most of the United Kingdom, we get in excess of 1700 hours of sunshine a year. We look forward to sharing our beloved coast and town with you.More

About the neighborhood
We are located in a quiet corner of a small Kent seaside village within short walking distance of the seafront, and within minutes of seaside amenities, shops, and restaurants. Staying in our well known seaside village, with its good access across Thanet, Canterbury and to London, will bring easy access to many interesting destinations within a few miles drive away, from surf schools, to historic buildings, from shopping centres to Dover port. Minnis Bay is our nearby family beach with attractions such as sailing, windsurfing, a paddling pool and coastal walking routes. Our area's smaller beaches are surrounded by chalk cliffs, and a little further away cliff stacks and caves, all with interesting sea-bird life in abundance.
Getting around
We are within a few minutes walk to the main line railway station (direct line to London and Broadstairs). The local bus service travels direct to Margate and Broadstairs, and Canterbury. Dover and Whitstable are reachable with a change of bus, and are easily reachable by car. Dover (Channel Tunnel to Calais), Ramsgate (Ferry to Dunkirk), Whitstable, and many other interesting and varied sights available, are all easily reachable by car and other bus and train services.
