It was the perfect escape in 2020, situated in the rural village of Megalachori, only a short drive to everywhere on the island. The location is much more laid back than Thira or Oia, which was very much appreciated. It has amazing and and relaxing and everything is setup for lazy days by the pool and a gentle walk to the center of the village for a selection of tavernas in the evening. There is also the family bakery nearby which does amazing food. We found the service to be excellent and the comfort of the accommodation to be outstanding. It's a beautiful property and definitely worth a stay.

Stunning property and location
Stayed at the Winery Estate in 2020, it was the perfect getaway! The local village is only a few minutes away and has a bunch of great tavernas and there are lots of local bakeries nearby too. The property itself was very great, very spacious and amazingly decorated and furnished. There is ALOT of space so you can really spread out and enjoy the many areas and the pool was perfect every day in the morning sunshine. Sarah was a lovely host and I would recommend the Winery 100%.

Perfect family escape
A huge, stunning cave house. Beautifully appointed. Everything you need. Lovely pool. Great location on the edge of the gorgeous, quiet village of Megalochori with its amazing bakery & handful of restaurants & bars. Fira a 15min drive away. Oia 30 mins. Stunning island. Sarah the owner is really friendly, helpful, knowledgable, has great communication, fast response. We had a great time- we thoroughly recommend.

Our little piece of paradise
We just got back from staying at this fabulous villa, if we could give more than 5 stars, we would. We arrived late at night after our flight was delayed, we emailed Sarah, the owner who rescheduled our transfer which made the start of the holiday so easy. The fridge was stocked with lots of goodies including wine which was much appreciated since we arrived late. The interior of the villa is absolutely stunning, with so much care and attention to detail taken. In the morning, when we saw the outside spaces we knew we were going to spend most of our holiday right here at the villa. Our two children loved the pool, as did we, but there was also plenty of spaces to enjoy some quiet time and most meals were served at the big table on the main terrace
The village of Megalohori is very beautiful with blue domed churches and a bell tower over the small path in to the village. It has a very nice selection of restaurants, a few shops and a bakery which makes ice cream to die for. We made our way in to the village most evenings for a glass of wine on the roof top wine bar or an ice cream from the bakery. We did go further afield to see the sights of Ia and Fira (which were lovely but very busy) but were always happy to return home to our little paradise.

Amazing villa, brilliant location and a fantastic holiday!
From start to finish we can’t fault the contact with Sarah beforehand and the whole experience at the villa in general.
Mark was friendly and full of advice and information to ensure that our stay here was as good as could be. Leslie was also lovely and polite.
We were completely blown away by the villa when we arrived, the pictures really do not do it justice. The location was fantastic for us being central to all key locations - but you must get a car!
A few recommendations from our experiences:
- Oia; Fanari restaurant has amazing food and a great view for sunset
- Fira; Classico is a lovely restaurant and a great view and also PK cocktails for amazing drinks
- Megalochori; do not be afraid to try out the local restaurants. The food is incredible in the villa (Avlogyros & Marmita)
- Waves Chill out bar at Perissa Beach is a lovely place to relax
- Take the boat trip to the volcano island, hot springs, Thirassia village too (the sea is very cold in April)
- Ancient Thira ruins is absolutely beautiful and a great walk and amazing views over the whole of Santorini
- Santos Winery Vineyard is amazing - we had the 10 flight wine for €35 each
YOU MUST GO TO THE FAMILY BAKERY. It is amazing, Pavlos is awesome and the chocolate, Gelato and pastries are great.
We have had a lovely stay and would highly recommend the Winery estate to families or groups of friends. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as us.

Perfect Setting for our group.
The Winery Estate was a perfect setting for our group of 10 aussies celebrating my 60th birthday. The building has been sympathetically renovated,is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Panos is the best property manager in Santorini, nothing was a problem for him. He looked after us so well and always had a smile on his face. Megalochori is a beautiful traditional village with some great restaurants, excellent bakery and small shops. We enjoyed being away from the busy crowds in Oia and had loved observing the locals way of life around us.

Paradise Island
Spectacular!! Fantastic 10 day family holiday at the Winery Estate.
The accommodation cannot be faulted and is perfectly located for walking and taking in the panoramic views of Athinios bay, volcano and much more.
A car is needed if, like us, you want to get around the island and stock up from the local supermarkets.
We had a private sunset cruise to the volcano and this was undoubtedly our best day of the holiday. If you can afford this little extra luxury you will not regret it.
There were 11 people in our party and there was plenty of room to wine and dine together, play in the pool or split up if you need time alone.
This has to be one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had and I would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect wedding guest accommodation
We stayed here with 8 of our friends for our wedding in May 2018. Although the winery estate was a little off the beaten track it was well situated in the centre of the island. There were a few lovely traditional Greek tavernas a short walk away in Megalochori as well as a delicious bakery just up the road!
The villa itself was immaculate and was so spacious! Was plenty big enough for a large group of people with lots of areas to eat, chill and relax. We were greeted with wine and beer, a bowl of fruit and a few essentials - such a lovely thought! Panos was fantastic - he was very attentive and came most days to clean the pool and check we were ok. All the guests had a wonderful time and we would love to return in the future.

Beautiful Villa in Rural location
We stayed Oct 2017 (lost my password for trip advisor!) so I’m very sorry for the late review!
We were 3 families of 9 people in total and chose not to use the pool house as it is quite separate from the main house. It would be fab for a couple (or with a baby)
The villa was very impressive on arrival and was spotlessly clean. Panos the villa manager was so helpful and there was food and drink already in the fridge as we arrived at night, he even gifted me 2 bottles of champagne for my birthday which was a lovely surprise! He helped arrange taxis, car hire, days out and my birthday meal and was a fab help throughout our stay.
The villa is in a semi rural location but easy to get to everywhere on the island. We did hire a car as I feel that the supermarket is just a little but too far if you have lots of shopping. The local town square with its restaurants is beautiful and a lovely 5/10 minutes stroll from the villa.
The villa has been restored beautifully and there are some lovely quirky touches. There is plenty of space, outdoor seating areas etc and a lovely pool area which the kids loved (was pretty cold but it was October)
We would definitely recommend!

What a place! Superbly refurbished, with all the creature comforts. Very tidy, and centrally located with easy access to the whole island. Large yet cosy, and quiet. Super staff/management.
