Our 5 day stay in Paradise.
We live in England, but my husband is Greek. We stayed in the these apartments in Koutsounari for a 5 day break from Heraklion because we had been told the beaches there were amazing. We stayed in a studio apartment with a balcony, and a sea view. There were no buildings in front of the apartments exactly as the pictures show, no building works underway, just peace and quiet! You went to sleep with the sound of the sea, and could sit on your balcony at night watching the twinkling lights of the little Traditional Greek Taverna on the beach in front of the apartments.
This Taverna served the most delicious Greek foods throughout the day including daily fresh fish & shrimps; there were also several excellent traditional Greek Tavernas very close by within walking distance serving fabulous dishes including casseroles with mountain goat, all with excellent service. The beach was fantastic, very quiet with no children when we went in September, and one of the clearest waters I have swam in the last 10 years of travelling there. I would thoroughly recommend these apartments, Rosina & Ioannis.
