Me and my hubby have been to Miguel's house last week for like 5 days of relax and far away from home and everyone/everything. I will say only this: this house is freacking A M A I Z I N G !!!!!!!!!
First of all, the house is in between the sea and mountains. You can literally see both. From the front of house you will see the colorful ocean (even standing inside the pool), but from the back of the house you will have an awesome landscape of mountains with the clouds between the trees, omg I can't describe it exactly, but I swear to God it was the first time in my life seeing it like that in reality, only saw it in movies!
Every morning I woke up making coffee and went outside to chill and watching the sun going up, it was lovely doing this every day.
The house is about 5-10 mins from the beach (if you want to go to the Marina and have some tanning or even taking a bath), but if you think is too hot for you, then you can go up to the mountain (max. 16 mins drive) and you can chill yourself with a 10°C difference. :D
The house was all nice and well clean, with some details prepared for the costumers coming in (which btw, they were very cute!), open plan kitchen, nice and big, with a table bar for 6 people (looks awesome!!!) and a spatious and lovely living room. The rooms are not to small, not too big, I would say perfect size in my opinion, 2 bathrooms (cabin shower and bath tube). It has a separate room for laundry with a washing machine, that one I'd say is perfect especially if you have kid(s) with you and you need to wash lots of clothes.
In the back of house is a BBQ as well, perfect if you feel like making one and having fun with all your family/friends. And there's parking space for 2 cars :)
The airport is about 40-50 mins driving (I did like 35-40 mins in the morning and 48 mins around noon), would recommend to rent a car with an engine of 1.4 minimum in case you want to visit all island and doing some trips in the mountain.
Down the road, is the Corujeira Bar which has the best Empanadas, they were so yummy.
At the Marina, you have a couple of restaurants and some stores which are selling boat cruise to see/swimming with dolphins (you can find many more interesting attractions on a Madeira website for it, I tried the paragliding one, it was awesome!!!!!)
Traditional foods and drinks: Bolo do Caco, Picados, Nikita, Poncha, Sangria with Guajaba (passion fruit) only these I remembered now, but you need to try them, very tasty and yummy!
Overall, if you are looking for a quiet place with a wonderful view, I would really recommend his house to everyone!
Thank you Miguel for letting us staying in your house for these days much needed to charge our batteries and especially as we had the chance to meet Alexandra as well, which is a lovely and cute girl taking care of his house!
Can't wait to come again next year! ❤
