Totally renovated in 2007 by local craftsmen, O Palheiro is a single bedroom (one double bed) 19m2 open plan self catering studio apartment with a private garden with BBQ and outside dining area and ocean views over Europe's west most village, Faja Grande on the island of Flores in the Azores. It is centrally located in the village with easy access to restaurants, shop and 900 metres to the ocean. A child's bed or cot is available on request. FREE WI-FI

Das O Palheiro war superschön warm als ich angekommen bin. Die Begrüßung sehr freundlich und Neil ist sehr Hilfsbereit. Ein Miniparadies im Großen Paradies. Trotz Regen und Sturm habe ich mich rundum wohl gefühlt, bin in den sonnigen Momenten in den Sturm gelaufen und als ich klatschnass heim kam wollte Neil die Sachen in den Trockner werfen. Ich komme wieder!

Good value bijou apartment in Faja Grande
Nice studio apartment in good location, well designed to make maximum use of limited space. Neil was very welcoming with starter pack of some butter, jam, wine & beer etc, and accommodated an early check in. Also provided a wealth of info on Flores. Bed very comfortable. No air con though there was a dehumidifier. Nice wild garden with entertainment provided by Neil & Carol’s kitten. Slight problem with shower drainage – water ran away very slowly so had to be quick!

Posto fantastico
La casa si trova nel villaggio di Faja Grande, nella parte ovest dell isola.
Il proprietatio Neil si è dimostrato veramente disponibile e ci ha spiegato come arrivare e una volta sul posto ci ha dato ulteriori indicazioni.
La casa ha una bellissima vista mare, è completa di tutto quello che serve per essere autonomi (cucina, bagno e ovviamente letto) e ci sono 2 terrazze in cui mangiare. Anche il giardino di fronte è molto bello.
Qui posso dire veramente di averci lasciato il cuore, per il posto e per le persone.
Ritornerò sicuramente.

Best place in Flores
Nice room with indipendet entrance, well fournished kitchen, barbecue.
The owner is a nice scottish guy that sent to us a complete guide of Flores that was helpful in a lot of situations.

Da lasciarci il cuore
O Palheiro ha qualcosa in più ...
quando si apre quelle piccola porticina rossa ci si trova dentro un mondo magico. Sembra di essere in una fiaba. Un giardino nascosto pieno di piccoli fiori colorati, piccoli vasi da scoprire, tanti pomodorini buonissimi e due aree dove fare colazione o prendere l'aperitivo una a livello della casa e l'altra più in alto con vista sul villaggio e sull'oceano. La casa sembra l'interno di una barca in quanto piccola il giusto e tutta in legno, ma dotata di qualsiasi cosa tu abbia bisogno anche i generi di prima necessità . C'è anche Il deumidificatore il letto è comodo e la casa è silenziosa, ...Neil è comunque sempre disponibile per ogni problema e la sua casa è accanto, ma la privacy è sempre perfettamente rispettata. Insomma io ci ho lasciato il cuore sia sull'isola, e Faja Grande è il posto ideale per visitarla, sia nella mia piccola magica casa ... Grazie di cuore Neil

Il posto perfetto per stare a Flores
La casa messa a disposizione dal Sig. king è assolutamente deliziosa, comoda, funzionale, pulita e provvista di tutto quanto può essere necessario all'ospite in base alle proprie esigenze. La cucina è assolutamente completa, il proprietario ha provveduto ai generi di prima necessità e anche al relax on una buona bottiglia di vino e birra, la casa è munita di deumidificatore se questo dovesse rivelarsi necessario, sempre il proprietario provvede all'invio per email prima dell'arrivo di tutto quanto è presente in casa e utili consigli per quanto riguarda l'isola (camminate, ristoranti, farmacie, noleggio auto). Abbiamo vissuto una bellissima esperienza sull'isola anche grazie a O Palheiro.

Heel mooi verblijf!
Erg vriendelijke ontvangst door Neil. Het appartement is prima voor 2 personen. Al wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. En bij vragen kon je direct bij hem aankloppen. Op loopafstand van supermarktje en restaurants. Neil heeft geweldig restaurant aanbevolen. Dat was echt iets voor ons. Ook zelf gekookt. Dat gaat ook prima.
Aanrader als je Flores bezoekt!
