Bed linens, bat towels are provided and changed once a week.

- A Supplement of 10% on the total amount will be charged for arrivals from Monday to Friday
- A damage deposit of 300 euros is requested cash upon arrival.

Back home for a week now but still wishing we were at Villa Sophie! Great location, lovely pool (cleaned every morning), everything you need at the villa, and Sophie and Spiros could not make you feel more welcome. Really enjoying the local produce which Sophie makes or supplies. Nothing but praise and look forward to returning asap.

A wonderful return visit to Villa Sophie
We are just back from our second stay at Villa Sophie. The Villa is perfect, fully equipped and our teenagers loved having their own space in the studio downstairs. The views from the Villa are stunning and it offers complete privacy.
Agios Thomas beach is a short walk and there are lots of lovely tavernas a short drive away. We enjoyed 2 weeks alternating between chill days by the pool and exploring this beautiful island. Car hire recommended so that you can make the most of your stay.
Sophie and Spiros are excellently hosts and we, once again, were given lots of local advice of where to eat, what to see and where to explore.
This time was as good as we remembered and as a bonus we had a resident cat Gatos who our teenagers loved to see!
Thank you so much Sophie and Spiros, hoping we get to visit again

Wonderful relaxing family holiday.
Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay here, our two teenage sons stayed in the self contained part of the house below, which was perfect to give them some independence. Sophie and Spiros made us very welcome with some great beach and restaurant recommendations. There are lot's of lovely beaches on the island and some lovely towns, I would recommend a car. The air conditioning was very efficient and the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. The taverns at Thomas beach just down the road were good to eat at.

Highly recommended for a quiet authentic Greek experience of a beautiful island!
We’ve just come back from a wonderful 10 days at Villa Sophie.The Villa itself is spacious, light and very well equipped which makes eating-in very easy if that’s what you prefer. A real selling point is the pool area which is in beautifully maintained grounds and big enough to have a proper swim in. The view across the valley to Mount Aenos is spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the changing light and sunsets. We made the mistake of not hiring a car for the first time, you definitely need one here! Despite being close to the airport it’s very quiet.
There’s a great taverna just up the road in Karavados which does lovely evening meals and sells basics in the shop attached. The beach at Agios Thomas is a ten minute walk away with two other alternatives for eating and offering lovely swimming off either rocks or sand.
It’s worth mentioning too that the owners Spiros and Sophie are lovely with nothing - including all practical help and advice - being too much trouble. They’re great hosts and go well above and beyond the call of duty to be helpful.
Highly recommended for a quiet, authentic Greek experience of a beautiful island!

A fabulous week at Villa Sophie
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Villa Sophie. The house is beautiful with everything you need and the views from the balcony are amazng. Sophie and Spiros were perfect hosts providing lots of advice on beaches and restaurants. The beach is an 8 min walk from the villa and is perfect for an early morning swim or a dip before having lunch at one of the 2 tavernas. There are so many beautiful beaches nearby we were spoilt for choice. A week here isn't long enough, we will be back! Thankyou Sophie and Spiros for looking after us so well.

Great to be back
We visited several years ago and have been looking forward to returning.
Very hot during our stay, but having the pool was perfect for cooling down. Having air-conditioning is a real help at night.
Sophie and Spiros are the best hosts and have great local knowledge of the best beaches to visit and restaurants to enjoy.
Car is essential to get the most out of the island.
Looking forward to planning our return.

Excellent
We have just returned from a week at Sophie Villas and have already booked next year as it is so good. Not only is the villa and pool lovely and well equipped (the views were beautiful) but Sophie and Spiros made the whole time so enjoyable: great information and so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We can't wait to go back. Their friends also run an excellent restaurant, Chefalonia, in a neighbouring village, which we ate at twice. A beautiful cove is just down the road and our favourite, Pessada, just 10 min. drive away, where we found amazing snorkeling and swam with turtles.

Peaceful, relaxing piece of paradise
The villa is very well appointed and modern. It overlooks a beautiful mountain backdrop and is only 15 minutes from the airport. 5-10 minutes walk from a small beach with two tavernas and a beach bar.
Sophie and Spiros and excellent hosts. Sophie made recommendations for places to eat and visit. They went out of their way to make sure we had total privacy and truly relaxed. It deserves its five star rating. We will return.

Great Peaceful Break, Amazingly Friendly People
Had the pleasure of spending a couple of weeks at this great villa. quiet location which was exactly what was needed to recharge the batteries. The villa was clean, exceptionally well equipped and well decorated with a fantastic air con system, which given how hot the weather during our stay was a godsend!. The pool was the perfect size for a party of six such as ours.
And as for Sophie and Spiros? you couldn't ask for two better hosts, when we arrived we received a warm welcome and Sophie was brilliant in pointing out good places to visit/eat on the map for our stay. Spiros was always good for a chat in the morning when he was cleaning the pool and we were also treated to some freshly picked peaches a couple of mornings too!.
To summerise, I don't think I can recommend this villa, or the owners enough if you're looking for a relaxing holiday, they are the people to call!

Fantastic place, wonderful hosts
We are on our way home from a 2 week stay at villa Sophie. We had an amazing time and explored the island and found lots of little gems due to the great information we received from Sophie. The house is spacious with open plan lounge and kitchen and 2 bedrooms plus bathroom upstairs and a separate studio downstairs which we didn’t use but would be perfect when travelling with older kids or parents. The garden and pool are wonderful and Spiros and Sophie are around early every morning to water the plants and look after the pool. It was such a pleasure to get to know them and we will plan our next visit to Kefalonia soon as the island is still very unspoiled and so many places left to visit. Merci for all your advice Sophie and Spiros. I am sure we will meet again ! Highly recommend this place.
The local beach and taverna are 7/10 min down the hill and the supermarkets and Argostoli 20 min drive. You do need a car as there is plenty to do and see!! We used Greekstones for our car rental as suggested by Sophie and were very happy with the service.

Karavados is located in an excellent position being only 10 kms from Argostoli (the capital) and 15 minutes' drive from the airport
However, a car is really recommended if you wish to explore this varied and wonderful island
Do not just stick to the well-famed names of Myrtos, Platis Gialos and the Xi beach. Do not hesitate to cross a few more kilometres and a new – not that well - known but the same beautiful Kefalonia wlll be revealed to you.
Typical villages, churches and hilltop monasteries.
Multi-hued stalactites and stalagmites fill the cool caverns of Drogarati and sunlight creates ever-changing colours on the subterranean lake of Melissani. Loggerhead turtles nest on the island's southern shores and rare birds flock to the Koutavos lagoon in Argostoli....
In fact, nobody can feel bored in Kefalonia !

Kefalonia is located on the west coast of mainland Greece (Ionian see) and can be reached either by ferry boat or by plane.
By boat
Various ports in Italy (Bari, Ancona, and Brindisi ) have connections to mainland Greece (Patras)
When in Patras , 2 possibilities :
- You take a ferry from Patras to Sami (3 hours boat and then 45 minutes drive to Karavados)
- You go to Killini (89 kms from Patras) and take a ferry to Poros, (1 hour 30 minutes boat and 45 minutes drive to Karavados)
By Plane
There is an international airport (Kefallinia, Argostolion EFL) which has daily flights from Athens and other major airports throughout Europe.
Easy Jet and Ryanair propose direct flights from UK (Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff,London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester) and from Italy (Pise, Milan) to Kefalonia
From April to October, direct flight from Paris twice a week
