This place is a little different with plenty of rustic charm. The flat - 2 floors of an old Italian house above a home restaurant - was clean and spacious indoors and out with a big terrace that gets plenty of sunshine. The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being obtrusive, and the booking process worked well with responses coming quickly. The terrace is surprisingly private from the restaurant (nice grounds, tea lights etc - no Pizza Express) and the gentle hubbub of Italian families made a nice background noise to our evenings. Importantly, the bed was comfy, and the bedroom quiet and dark.
I should note that the road up to Convivium is quite narrow and steep in places, but you'll get used to driving up it once you know it's there - you will need a car to get to the beach but there is free parking available. The main highway is prominent in the view which obviously creates some road noise but we found that this wasn't a problem. It is probably these two points which explain the very fair price, because the quality of the accommodation is fantastic!
