If you want sun, sea, sand and tranquillity, Boa Vista is the ideal place, and this Penthouse Apartment is the ideal base. It is run by really friendly, dedicated staff who will go out of their way to help you, to ensure that your stay is perfect. It is clean, well furnished, comfortable and has the most delightful 'terrace' with a corner table for a sunny breakfast, comfortable sofas and romantic lighting at night for wine and nibbles, loungers for sunbathing and good views of the beach and beyond.

We spent a week sailing on 4 tp 6 meters sails. Wind blows constant all day long and the spot is a playground with no choppy, good waves and nice people. Not crowded at all. And Casa Velha is the perfect place to stay. The penthouse is a dream come true and the ambiance and service is pretty good.

We had a lovely time staying at the penthouse. Walking distance to beach and town. Bed very comfortable. Lovely terrace. Very quiet and relaxing. Would definitely like to go back again. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Un anno fa un amico mi disse: "quando passi da Boavista o ti innamori o ti annoi non c'è una via di mezzo". Beh io mi sono innamorata di questo angolo di paradiso e di Casa Vehla che ho oramai eletto …. il mio luogo ideale per ricaricare le batterie. Appartamento stupendo, spiaggia bellissima, lontano dal giri turistici tipo villaggio con 2'000 persone che ti parlano il mattino quando ancora non sei sveglio. Sembra di essere a casa. Ti alzi, bevi il tuo caffettino, due chiacchiere con le ragazze e con Cristina e via la giornata inizia. Spero che questo luogo mantenga il carattere e l'energia positiva che ha attualmente.

We stayed in the penthouse in May 2013. The apartment is very well equipped and also beautifully decorated. The roof terrace is a dream! Casa Velha is a walking distance to a gorgeous beach and also a walking distance to the town centre. Chris and Gail have us a lot of useful tips prior to arrival re money, visas, etc. It was about 30C during our stay, but we didn’t actually need to turn the fan on as there was a nice breeze coming from the ocean. If you like fish there’s a great fish market on weekday mornings – we had the best tuna and grouper ever – fresh from the ocean. Local people are very nice and friendly. We hope to escape there again next year, only for more than just a week!

Casa Velha Penthouse exceeded our expectations in every way. Well equipped, clean, and a superb location. Friendly helpful staff. Great advice beforehand from owners re. currency, etc. It is a perfect location. Close to local facilities for shopping, eating out, etc., and adjacent to the most beautiful beach. Also very short transfer from airport, so no wasted time in transit. The whole experience was magical, and one we definitely hope to repeat.

The Penthouse apartment is beautiful, we really felt we had escaped from life, great location, short walk to anywhere but out the way enough for it to be peaceful. The view from the bed is beautiful and on the roof terrace we felt like royalty! Amazing large space to chill out all to yourselves and watch the sunset. The beaches around the island are really spectacular and empty!!! Really do recommend hiring a 4x4 and getting off the beaten track. The apartment is also full of lots of information that was really useful for us to make the best of our time there.

Das Penthouse hat eine tolle riesige Terasse mit gepflegten Polstermöbeln, die uns jeden Tag bei einer leichten Brise Wind und warmen Temperaturen die Abende sehr gemütlich entspannen ließen. Ein DVD - Player sorgte für Musik und es gab jede Menge Leselektüre in Deutsh und in Englisch. Der Blick vom schönen Schlafzimmer ging direkt auf das Meer. In dem Penthouse war alles da, was man für die Selbstverpflegung braucht, ein großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, ein Herd mit Backofen und jegliches Küchenzubehör wie Töpfe, Toaster, Gläser, Besteck usw. Das Einzige was wir uns gewünscht hätten, im Informationsbuch auch ein paar Empfehlungen über Insel und die Stadt Sal Rei in Deutsch!
