August 2022 Paradise indeed!
Surrounded by olive, fig and pomegranate trees, Villa Paradise lives up to its name as I write this review from the side of the infinity pool looking out onto the incredible view of the crystal blue Ionian Sea. The Villa is situated at the top of a very steep hill and yet our 1xlitre Nissan Micra seems to cope admirably with the brutal journey...despite my initial fears! The family run business is well looked after with all the necessary basics in place to equip your stay. A welcome gift of local produce was much appreciated! The pistachio nougat was amazing! The kitchen/dining/lounge area is more than large enough for our party of 8 and the 4 decent bedrooms and bathrooms are generous in both size and sea view. The shower pressure is pretty disappointing but if this is our only complaint in a holiday dominated by sea and pool..so be it. The local area has plenty to offer and the nearby village of Agois Mattheues ( St Matthew) has two small supermarkets to supply most food and beverage requests. If you have gluten free requirements, as we do (one Coeliac in the family) our advice is bring supplies. There is very little catered for in shops of restaurants. However, the local taverna (Sunset) on Paramonas beach cooked up some of the GF pasta we brought down and happily served alongside their home cooked bolognase! Top tips for the local area include the local secret beach known as Little Durralls (used for some of the filming) and it is a quaint and charming beach down by the church of St Nicholas. Perfect for snorkelling and rock jumping, this shallow lagoon provides hours of fun for the family. 4 Kids ages 9 to 13. The walk down is rough and ready but what do you expect for a piece of paradise off the beaten track? Local shopping in St Matthews. 2 X mini markets, both stocked well. Local produce also available on the street. The pomegranate liquor is a must! Pharmacy at the end of village. Paramonas beach is also beautiful and despite our initial concerns about parking we haven't had any issues finding space for our two cars. It was suggested we walked but we haven't from the villa...too far, too hot and too bloody steep coming back! Two decent beach side restaurants (Ploris and Sunset) offer a range of traditional meals. The former is like something straight out the Mamma Mia movie and whilst the service was terrible, the food and setting was lovely. The beach is perfect and the sunset view each evening and glorious. Good waves, fairly priced sunbeds and a parasol (7 euros for 2 beds and brolly). The only down side to the whole holiday was the number of WASPS but burning coffee really does work. Top tip: buy cheap filter coffee. Place some kitchen roll in the bottom of a ceramic pot and fill with coffee. Light the paper and the coffee will slowly smoulder away and keep most of the bugs at bay. By the way this is a Corfu wide issue and not the fault of the villa. Other good day trips include: Corfu town ( about 45 mins away) gorgeous location, shops, restaurants and with a few visits to really soak it all in. Agios Gordinos ( another beach with decent shops and restaurants. We ate at Sebastian's and it was stunning. Gorgeous food in a beautiful vine covered roof setting. About 25 mins away. Recommend the coastal road there and the main road back!) Aqua Land ( very well looked after, clean and friendly staff). Loads of slides. Happily spent 5 hours there. Fast food options are fine and reasonably priced. 50 cents for bottled water. Very cheap. Kontogialos Beach was another great day out. About 30 mins drive away. Beautiful scenery. Brilliant beach, car park 5 euros for the day. 8 euros for beds and brolly. The waves are great fun. Strong but shallow to keep it kid friendly. Great beach side restaurant and the doughnut seller on the beach was a hit! We went back for a second trip! Huge hit of the holiday was our trip to Anti Paxos and Paxos. Beautiful islands about 45 ferry trip from Corfu town or Lefkimi. The islands are stunning. The caves, coves and white sand beaches have to be seen to be believed. Overall, a wonderful holiday in Villa Paradise (use Villa Leena for Google maps). The family that own the villa took great care of us and the place was cleaned twice during our stay including bed change. Corfu is a beautiful island and definitely worth exploring. Favourite memories: Getting caught in a thunder storm out of Corfu Town The WAVES in the sea! Cooling off in the pool after a day exploring Discovering Paxos and Anti Paxos for the very first time. We will be back! The Quinn / Fraser family

1 Million $ view
Even if the house is perfect equipped, clean and more than comfortable, and you can see the wonderful view from almost everywhere inside, you try to be outside all the time and let your eyes enjoy this almost unspoiled nature with the incredible color of the sea in the back. There are two restaurants down the hill, only one house behind you, you need a car to reach the house and for the next village Agios Mattheos, which offers everything you need. First we had the plan to see the whole island but pretty soon we realized that there could not be a better place on corfu, Just a perfect place to stay a week with friends, and the best thing of everything is the owner family Dafnis, extremely helpful and warmhearted, thank you so much!!!!

Perfect villa to relax and unwind
I stayed here with my family for a week in May. Spyros met with us in a nearby town as the villa is in a small side road not easy to find, and we followed him in. The villa is beautiful, very spacious with a large area outside for dining, relaxing or swimming in the beautiful infinity pool. Spyros walked us through the villa to show us its amenities and was very welcoming. They had left some supplies for us also which was great as we arrived in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay and the family made us very welcome, offering to take us on a tour of their olive groves and then George came to visit with some wine and soap and said his mother would like to cook a meal for us. There were seven of us staying at the villa and the next day George left us a wonderful traditional beef dish with pasta to eat which was ample and delicious for the whole family. They also said if we needed help with anything on the island to call them if we had any problems. I really felt they were doing their best to make our stay memorable so would like to say thanks again. Just a small point and nothing to do with the villa; if you are going to hire a car, use the smallest you can make do with as the road are quite narrow and poor quality.

Paradise Indeed
Firstly, we actually booked villa panoramic but owing to it being very early in the season the pool couldn't be ready. We were therefore upgraded to Villa Paradise free of additional charge, excellent customer service from the off. This continued throughout the week we visited. From offering to show us the way from the airport, to a free olive tour of the family olive mill and museum (for which I will review seperatley, again excellent), to local knowledge, to welcome pack, to the provision of a home cooked meal for the four of us, to twice weekly cleaning. Exceptional, absolutely the best customer service I've received, ever, bar none and congratulations to the Dafnis family to making us feel so welcome. The villa, 4 ensuite bedrooms, tastefully decorated, sheets and towels provided, modern bathrooms. The lounge/dining room/kitchen spacious and light thanks to the large patio windows but private as no other villas can see in. The outside, as others will testify, that view, wow just wow. Even better it is facing south west and gets the sunsets which are fantastic. The pool is a good size and being an infinity pool enjoys the views on offer. Being English, it wouldn't be right not to look on the negative side but we found the negative issues were so minor that they didn't even class as an irritant. The Wi-Fi isn't UK standard but we could stream Netflix and YouTube. My biggest issue is that demand for these gems (panoramic, romantic and Paradise) will mean that they will be booked up in future when I wish to return, which I definitely will. Enjoy.

Exceptionnel

Paradise indeed - simply amazing
This is one of 3 villas owned by the Dafnis family (Panoramic, Romantic and Paradise). We stayed in villa Panoramic for the first week and villa Paradise in the second. The view from the villa is amazing. You get a full view of the sea and the sunset everyday. The infinity pool is really nice to chill out and enjoy the view. It is of a nice size to play ball and dive games. The pool is on the ground level just outside the front door and the patio door so it is only a few steps before you are in the pool. It is also convenient to go back to the villa for more refreshments. The villa is well equipped and modern in decoration. The fitting is indeed luxury. You are provided with plenty of bath towels as well as separate pool towels. They also supply wash liquids/tablets for the washing machine (which is really handy), tablets for the dishwasher. Hand soap, toilet paper and so on. If you need anything, the host is available 24h a day by phone. Being on a mountain (with truly amazing views), mobile phone reception is almost non existent. However, there is a house phone so you are contactable and you can make outside local calls. The good thing is that the internet access (wifi) is very good and fast. It is accessible from around the whole villa including by the pool. It is fast enough to stream videos (important for teens). For each of the 3 bedrooms upstairs, you have a private balcony with great view of the sea. There are 2 bedrooms that can be classed as master bedrooms. One with a double jacuzzi bath. It is nice, we only used it once just to try it. From a practicality perspective, a shower is more useful. All the showers are enclosed cubicles with water coming from the top, a separate shower head and 6 jets for the body. The best shower is in the master bedroom. It is powerful and refreshing at the end of the day. The hosts (Dafnis family) are the one of the most friendly and genuine people I have met. They ensure you stay is enjoyable and everything is catered for. The fathers comes early in the morning to water the plants and clean the pools, hence it is so lush and beautiful even when the weather is so dry and hot everyday. The main family business is the production of high quality olive oil. As the guest of the villa, they gave us a tour which was very very interesting and educational. I recommend taking up this kind offer. It is not just a business, they are actually passionate about it. On our penultimate evening, the mother prepared a meal for us which George (son) delivered to our door. It was very kind and it was lovely. I would say a car is essential. Getting around is easy. A local supermarket is only a few minutes away by car and larger supermarkets are 30-40 minutes away. The location of the villa is in a protected area so no high rise hotels. It is unspoilt and you are amongst locals. The local beach is 3 minutes away by car and it is never busy. The water is warm and sandy. More commercialised beaches with motorised watersports can be found with 30 minutes drive. All the beaches around this area are sandy and the water crystal clear. This is a truly an amazing villa. The location is hard to be bettered. I would highly recommend this villa. It is indeed a paradise. A big thanks to the Dafnis family.

Really is a VIP paradise - with personal extras.
What can I say - a beautiful villa with a view to die for. Clean, spacious, light, airy, open - fabulous and exclusive interior and exterior. An infinity pool with a whirlpool - perfect begin and end (and inbetween) to each and every day. Watch the swallows drink from the pool during the day and the bats in the evening - your own nature show. Tavernas and beach within a couple of minutes drive. Minimarket and shop a few minutes drive away in the next village. The Corfiot family owners are hosts that go that extra mile to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Perfect relaxation - no mobile phone service, but internet works perfectly for all those (like us) who can't live without. The two sons, Spyros and George are very proud of their extremely special, world-wide award winning olive oil - and so they should be. Ask them how they have changed the production and have their own special brand of extremely high quality olive oil - they will give you all the information you need. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the island, its history and the olive oil production from these two exceptionally enthusiastic young men. Their father is also a fountain of knowledge on everything to do with the island. Just ask - he knows. Their mother is awonderful lady who makes the most delicious food (she really ought to open an exclusive restaurant, but I guess she has enough to do running the family). 😄 Treat yourself to a fabulously relaxing and friendly exclusive villa. It is worth it - you will see. We had a fantastic week - only wish we could have stayed longer. We both highly recommend the villa and especially the wonderful family owners. Rosie and Wolfgang from Innsbruck, Austria and London, UK. p.s. Recommend a 4-wheel drive for the whole island if you intend on seeing more of it.
