The home is located on Lake Scuggog where the sunrises and sunsets are enjoyed. If you take pleasure in exploring neighboring small towns or just simply removing yourself from the bustle of the city, you have found the perfect spot.
During the warmer months, canoes, paddle boats, bicycles (2 - please request at time of booking) and lawn games are at your disposal. In lieu of cable, Netflix is available for your enjoyment. There is a fire pit, wood stove and a charcoal barbecue for your use; both wood and charcoal are supplied.
During the winter months, ice fishing, snow shoeing and ski-do on the lake are the most popular sports.

If your pet sleeps with you, please bring your own bed linen. I provide towels to wipe your pets paws, a large water bowl and the couch will be covered.
Sound carries at night across the lake. Please keep it low key from Sunday to Thursday after 10 pm and from Friday to Saturday after 11pm
When taking out the canoes and paddle boat, please bring them back before nightfall. There are no running lights and Lake Scuggog is Federally mandated.

Peaceful place , great host
The host is very caring , clean and responsible .
Offered us an extra sleeping places once she found out that we are 4 adults , one senior and teenager ( tall for him age) . Was very nice to get an extra attention , the place is wonderful , peaceful and relaxing , the breakfast was great and healthy .

About the neighborhood
The home is right on Lake Scuggog. During night fall, there are no street lights. As a result, it becomes very dark which allows the stars and the moon to illuminate the sky beautifully. A lantern is supplied and your entrance is lit.
Getting around
The General Store in Valentia is a 30 min walk. The store provides a generous selection of staples including LCBO but lacks in fresh produce.
Your transportation to Little Britain and Lindsay would be by car, no buses or Uber is available but there is Taxi service.

For some unknown reason, if you are not able to locate LITTLE BRITAIN when you Google for direction, please try MARIPOSA. This is an infrequent occurrence but it does happen.
