We hope your holiday here is going to be one you remember with fondness for years to come. This property is not just your normal Gite it is also our family home so we would ask please to respect that, in return you will have a higher standard than normal and many additional items around you that you may not get with other rentals. The upstairs is completely separated has an independent access and is not available for rent.

Please if you smoke at all, please do not book with us. Our accommodation welcomes non smokers and you are sure to have a nice clean fresh smoke free environment. Some basic house rules apply such as no glass near the pool for fear of breakages into the water. Suncreams are to be washed off before entering the pool. Or home is suitablefor children over 5. Check in after 4pm and check out is before 10am.

You are told the codes of the keyguard pool alarm and we provide a check in form that must list the name and DOB of each person staying with your contact details *Address Phone No. etc. The form can be put into our post box and we leave you to settle in and enjoy your well deserved holiday here in this beautiful part of France
Are Kim and Michael Lou Reed fans? Not sure of that. What I am sure of is that they are perfect hosts, and that their gite will be the perfect place for your holyday, as it was for ours.
It is situated in a very quiet location, but actually quite well connected to everything you'll need. Lanquais is a small village and you won't find many commodities besides a restaurant and a Post office, but you'll be close from Lalinde where you'll find everything, and from Bergerac which is the main city around.
The gite itself is immaculately clean, very cosy and well furnished. And of course, there's the swimming pool!
I warmly recommend the place and the hosts.

Irritated? Tired? Come and relax in this wonderful and quiet gite
I should not write this review as I would keep this place as a secret. But Michael and Kim deserve to be known, so i'll write it anyway. They are the most welcoming and caring of guests and will help you if you have any trouble during your stay. The house is nice and well equipped and the pool, seriously, it's better in reality than it looks on the pictures (a rare experience in life...). We had a wonderful two weeks and would love to make it three next time we visit! We definitely recommend it.
Important points for visitors: bedlinen and towels are furnished, cleanliness is perfect.

Perfect week
Just returned from a perfect location , excellent hosts and lovely gite. Michael and Kim were so lovely and welcoming and we couldn't fault their beautiful home. The welcome basket and personal tour around the accommodation was much appreciated - something we haven't experienced in previous visits to France.The offer of the use of bikes was so tempting, but knew from the start it was never going to happen 😂😂. Would well recommend this lovely gite and would definitely visit again !

Brilliant week in a brilliant location
Being 30 mins from the airport was fantastic but the real plus is the fact that within 30-45 minutes from the gite there are a whole host of fantastic towns to visit and explore, access to the rivers for canoeing and plenty of options to restock the cupboards.
The gite itself was perfectly hosted by Kim and Michael making us all feel very welcome in their very clean place. All rooms were ideally sized, the patio area was great for all meals and the pool great for cooling off as the temperatures soared that week.
A fabulous week in a beautiful part of France.

Lovely Gite in great location. Fabulous pool.
The property is in a quiet and peaceful location. The gite was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Michael and Kim were the perfect hosts. Nothing too much trouble when asked, advice freely available.
Swimming pool was excellent and patio area relaxing.
Fabulous location, short drive from airport while being easy distance to small towns and villages along the river.
Being within easy travelling from airport meant about 4 or 5 planes flew overhead each day. But they were sufficiently high not to disturb the peace.
Thoroughly recommended for a relaxing laid back holiday.

Wonderful pool in a peaceful location
Everything was as described and the location was quiet and peaceful but only a few miles from a pretty and well serviced town. The house is well equipped and organised and very easy to stay in; the owners were very discrete but ready to be helpful if needed. There was a good WiFi connection. The welcome basket was the best we have ever had in a rental property - very generous amount of food with great wine. The whole experience of staying in the villa was wonderfully calm and we'll never forget sitting on the terrace listening to the gentle sounds of bees in the lavender. A fab place to relax.

Beautifully clean and comfortable property
We have just returned from this beautifully clean and comfortable property. There were so many little touches that made it a real home from home. The owners were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble without being intrusive! The property is in a great location to explore a lovely part of the Dordogne. Local amenities are good and the property was exactly as described, if not better. We would definitely return to this gem of a property.

A lovely relaxing holiday home
We stayed at Michael and Kim's home from 2-8 August 2015. We wouldn't look any further if we returned to the Dordogne.
20 minutes from Bergerac airport, on the edge of Bournazel village which has a small shop and lovely restaurant. Lalinde, no more than a 10 minute drive has a mid-size supermarket and a number of nice places to eat from fast food to very nice restaurants.
We can't speak highly enough of this gite. Comfortable, well set out and extremely clean, in lovely peaceful surroundings and with a good sized pool.
An ideal getaway - we went without children but kids who can swim would love the pool as an all-day playground.
