Willow Cottage has a comfortable home from home atmosphere and provides all the equipment required for a comfortable, cosy escape. There are 2 double bedrooms, the master with King size bed and en-suite bathroom, complete with roll top bath; a further family bathroom with shower/steam cubicle is located on the ground floor; the bespoke oak fitted kitchen is complete with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, cooker and microwave, scales and baking utensils/accessories plus iron and ironing board. A separate utility houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. The cosy living room has patio doors to the outside with a table and chairs for enjoying the sun and for cooler evenings the log burner set in original inglenook fireplace soon brings warmth and cheer. The original beam over the fireplace is complete with Apotropaic symbols used in the 16th and 17th Century to ward off evil spirits; the atmosphere in the Cottage confirms the success of this tradition as it wraps itself around you with a promise of a relaxing peaceful stay! There is a separate dining room and the unusually high ceilings for a cottage of this age give a light airy feeling; perfect for 4 people although a 5th person could be accommodated on the comfy feather sofa! The original staircase in this property is narrow and steep which makes it unsuitable for those will mobility difficulties. Stair gates and a travel cot can be provided for people with young children. All set in a tranquil rural setting with a lovely big garden, adjoining field and lake where fishing and swimming can be enjoyed.

Quirky, comfortable, quiet
Quirky. Comfortable. Quiet. Every amenity. Helpful host. Welcome sponge cake. Low doors could be challenging for people above average height.

Fabulous time!
We had a great time, the cottage had everything we needed. We had fantastic weather which meant we could make the most of the lively garden. We also enjoyed playing the games that were in the cottage. Really good. Should also mention the lovely host Penny and her delicious home made cake which she left for us. Thanks will be back!

Christmas stay 2018
We had a wonderful family Christmas at Willow Cottage. We had just moved home so coming away to such a beautiful and relaxing setting away from the chaos back home was the best solution. Everything was to hand and the quirkiness and history of the cottage was so appealing. Lots of lovely walks and local pubs to explore! Would thoroughly recommend !

Holiday!
We have just come back (20th-24th) from this beautiful cottage. Very clean, well equipped and an amazing cake left by the homeowner. All 5 of the family and the 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views and surroundings are lovely and we definitely recommend this to people.

Lovely cottage and great location
Lovely cottage and thanks, Penny, for the great cake! Penny and husband were really helpful when Grandma got lost and the cottage itself was lovely. Low ceilings, sloping floors and lots of beams! Very picturesque with period features and in great location with beautiful garden. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog, who was also very happy in Willow Cottage.

A gem of a cottage set in a beautifully peaceful location
Have just come home after spending 3 nights in this splendid cottage, should have stayed longer! The cottage is cosy, fully equipped and set in a stunning location with its own fishing lake. There is lots to explore locally and Framlingham is just a stones throw away, a must visit. Would highly recommend Willow cottage, we will certainly be returning. Ps Penny the owner made us the best cake we had ever tasted!!

EXCELLENT
Just spent 3 nights at Willow Cottage but could have stayed longer. Beautiful cottage set in quiet idyllic grounds with private lake. Lovely walks and great places to eat just 2 miles away. Cottage was spotlessly clean and owner (Penny) had left us some lovely flapjacks. Would certainly recommend this holiday let and will certainly be returning.
