Escape to The Bell Ringer's Cottage – an ideal get away built around 1866 in Llandegla, one of four dressed stone cottages opposite the historic church of St Tecla and originally a workers cottage for Bodidris Hall. It sits just yards away from the well known Offa's Dyke foot path. Everything is provided to ensure you have all you need during your stay (full details provided)– just pack an overnight bag! The cottage is deceptively spacious and has retained many of its original features including beams, exposed stone walls and has been newly refurbished and furnished to a high standard. From the hall the staircase leads to a landing with two bedrooms one a double the second a twin and bathroom with double walk in shower and heated towel rail. Llandegla is situated in the Vale of Clwyd and is an ideal base to explore North Wales and Cheshire offering plenty of activities on the doorstep (water sports, mountain biking, shooting, bird watching etc), places to visit and local walks of different levels right from your door step. Llandegla also has a wonderful general community run village shop and café in the Old School, The Crown pub (dog friendly) is less than a 10 minute walk. It is only 2 miles to Coed Llandegla – the nationally known mountain bike centre. We have an outbuilding with 'oxford floor anchor' to secure mountain or road bikes to. Llangollen and Ruthin are a 15 minute drive and well worth a visit The Bell Ringer's Cottage is ideally situated to explore North Wales and Cheshire. Take a look at our great Trip Advisor reviewsMore

We spent a very restful few days here. Great little village & very friendly. Well furnished cottage with a tailor made welcome basket to our taste, even included treats for our dog. Great local walks for the dog and has a contained garden which gave us peace of mind when our dog was in the garden. Good base location to see North Wales. Carol was always at the end of the phone if needed and she has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Thanks Carol and will return when we visit North Wales again.

I have just spent a week in this amazing cottage with my parents who are in their late 70s. The surrounding area is so quiet and beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful I recommend this place high enough. The host couldn’t be more helpful and the hamper on arrival was lovely. A must place to visit.

A lovely, comfortable cottage located in a quiet village. Ideally situated for exploring the many attractions the area has to offer. Carol, the owner, was extremely helpful and kind by providing us with detailed information about the cottage, places to visit and walks. The welcome hamper was also very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

We spent a very restful few days here at the end of our summer hols. My wife and one year old enjoyed it, so that's the main thing! Great little village, well furnished, cosy house, with child-friendly amenities. Definitely recommend.

What can we say but thank you. Cottage is excellent absolutely everything you could wish for and more! Absolutely spotless on arrival and a lovely hamper to greet us after a 8 hour drive. The cottage is in a beautiful position within the village, I loved just looking out over the church and hills in the distance. Carol is beyond excellent and so helpful with anything you ask for. To the extent of getting us more pillows for our bed! Carol is full of good ideas, tips and advice you truly are made to feel welcome. We loved the small village and everyone is friendly and helpful. Some great walks and so much to do around the area. Do not hesitate to book this amazing place it will be in our hearts for a long time. We have loved it and do not want to leave thank you Carol for your lovely cottage we will be back and are so sad to leave.

What do you look for in a trip away? Firstly I would say location..... Beautiful tiny village peaceful and quiet. Next customer service..... Faultless. Carol was highly responsive to our needs and an effective communicator. Cottage ... Beautiful and squeaky clean, wish my house was that clean. Carol leaves you a hamper with the basics that again reduces the stress of having immediately to dash out. We went to llangollen's steampunk event and took the dogs for long walks. As a busy family with busy lives it was a step from the norm and Monday morning was far less stressful as a result. Plus it wiped out our Cavaliers! Many thanks Carol we will return.
