Mountain Lodge

Overview
Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales
In 2009 we had this stunning 19th century traditional Welsh cottage restored to the highest standards using traditional building techniques. The cottage is located in a secluded spot (1/4 mile from nearest neighbours!) with views over Worms Head and the Gower coastline from all rooms in the house.

The lounge has high vaulted ceilings with oak beams and a 'Crog loft' over a woodburning fire. There is a 32' TV with freeview and a DVD player with an 8 seater Oak table for dining. The main bedroom (upstairs) has a King size bed, TV with DVD and ipod station. There is a small second bedroom with a double sofabed.

Fabulous week, totally away from it all, with only the sound of birds and sheep. The cottage is lovely, with all you need. We hardly went out as the views were stunning and we enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. Civilization, including large supermarkets...More

Another wonderfully relaxing and restful stay at this fabulous little cottage. We stayed for 5 nights and didn't want to come home! Totally in love with the place and can't wait to return once again in the not too distant future.

Additional amenities & feature info
The open plan lounge is very inviting with its vaulted cieling and exposed oak beams and a cosy sitting area around a wood burning stove at one end with a 'crog loft' above. In the lounge there is a sofabed and for the more adventuous there is also a mattress on the crog loft.

At the other end of the lounge is an 8 seater oak table for dining with a door to the front lawn between. The flag stone floor has underfloor heating throughout.

The kitchen is handbuilt in solid ash with slate surfaces and is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, hob with double oven under, dishwasher and a double Belfast sink. There is also a solid fuel rayburn for those who wish to use it. There is a breakfast table and traditional welsh dresser and settle.
