Plover Cottage is over 200 years old and was completely refurbished in 2016. We were awarded a Gold Award by Quality in Tourism in 2016. We were also voted Most Dog Friendly Self Catering Cottage in the New Forest in 2018.
The cottage has two double bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor and kitchen, living room and dining area downstairs. We have a lovely courtyard garden which is a real sun trap and is ideal for eating breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
The cottage is ideally located in the heart of Milford on Sea, five minutes walk from the beach and with cafes, shops and pubs in the village there is no need to venture further afield if you don't want to. There are also several bird hides on the door step or alternatively you can just relax on the beaches and in the village of Milford on Sea.

We are dog friendly and welcome one large or two small dogs in the cottage,we request that they do not go upstairs or on the sofa or chair.
We do not recommend that small children stay at the property as there are uneven floors in the property, it is perfectly suitable for older children however.
The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us and our dog. It was cosy, the beds were extremely comfortable, the shower was great, the kitchen was well equipped and the tv is a good size for us all to watch a Sunday afternoon film. We went to the Smugglers Inn for an evening meal one night after a trip to Highcliffe Castle and for a Sunday lunch after a walk to Hurst castle, both meals were excellent. The cottage is perfectly located for day trips to either the beach or the New Forest. This is the second time I have been to this lovely cottage and will definitely book again in the future.

A well appointed cottage and worth a visit.
The cottage was well positioned in Milford close to pretty village green. There was an allocated parking space next to the property. The kitchen was well equipped and cereals, tea and coffee was provided. The living room had a large TV with many channels including Netflix. The bedrooms were cosy and the beds were comfortable and afforded a good night’s sleep. Although next to the main road traffic noise was minimal and did not keep us awake. All in all a pleasant accommodation for which we would look forward to returning next year.

The nearest railway station is New Milton only 1 3/4 hours from London Waterloo and with plenty of taxis it is only ten minutes by car to Milford on Sea, alternatively get the bus from the station to Milford. We have off street parking next to the cottage and provide a parking clock for local car parks during your stay.
