Superb apartment situated in a lovely village with excellent food and drink options all around. The Smugglers Inn, The Lazy Lion and particularly The Wash House all offered a warm welcome with a wide variety of craft beers, gin, wine and food. The seafront is about 5mins walk away with options of a walk to Hurst Castle, or across the cliffs to Barton on Sea. Cannot fault the apartment or hosts. Would definitely book again.

A great winter break for us. Always spotless and well presented with good welcome pack. Only reason I say winter break is because we use our motorhome for the summer. Great location in the middle of the village for all the drinking establishments, restaurants and local shops. Looking forward to the next visit already. Thanks Peter & Pam

We had an enjoyable time at this well equipped and located accommodation. A village atmosphere but 5 minutes walk from the coast. We never moved the car preferring to use the bus or walk everywhere. Plenty of places to eat and drink on the doorstep all independently owned. The owners had thought of everything and there was no shortage of anything at all. We had several items of food ( bread, butter, jam, milk, biscuits, juice) greeting us on arrival and the owner met us and showed us around. Little Egret is spotlessly clean, a very high standard, and this definitely somewhere we would return to.

This is a fantastic apartment. Centrally located for the shops and beach. Peter and Pam have put a great deal of thought into making the accommodation extremely welcoming and comfortable. Definitely hope to return somewhen in the future.

Our second visit to Little Egret this year. The accommodation was as clean, comfortable & quality as we remembered, everything we could wish for. We enjoyed being cosy in February and were a bit concerned about returning in high season but need not have been - Milford village & beach were buzzing but not crowded, perfect to potter around & paddle, with this lovely apartment to come home to. We appreciated both the private parking and the car park pass, so convenient. This will not be our last visit.

After a very warm welcome from Peter we were soon settled into Little Egret and made good use of the storage areas provided. Everything was spotlessly clean and the apartment very well set up and equipped. We found the bed and seating very comfortable and there are plenty of windows for light and fresh air. Very thoughtful little touches, provisons and heaps of useful tourist informaton were much appreciated. It is very obvious how much work and effort Peter and Pam put into everything. The apartment is in a great location. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, a lovely walk along Sturt Pond and on to the Keyhaven Marshes and a walk along the shingle spit to Hurst Castle, where there are lovely views across to the Isle of Wight. During our stay we also visited Hythe to take the interesting ferry ride to Southampton, a day at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight and a trip on the ferry from Mudeford Quay to Hengistbury Head. All easily reached by car. People in the local shops and eateries were welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed meals from The Smugglers Inn, Monsoori Heights and Ray's Italian. The private parking space is a real benefit in a busy seaside village and we were also grateful for the parking clock provided. Thank you for a lovely base for a relaxing holiday.

We arrived to a warm welcome again, the apartment was welcoming as always, with a welcome gift of tea,coffee, milk, bread and more, lovely restaurants close by,we will be back at sometime.

We Love the area, and Little Egret was just ideal to explore both the beach and the New Forrest, and all f the Dorset Coast. The apartment was really well kept and equipped. We wouldn’t consider ourselves experts on self-catering apartments, but have stayed in a number over the years. This has to be the best so far (and at a very reasonable price) - modern, immaculately clean, well furnished and with a vast amount of local information provided. The local parking permit (which we weren’t expecting) proved very useful. We like eating out on holiday and the number of restaurants/pubs within walking distance exceeded the nights that we were there (a week). There are more within an easy drive. We’re sure we’ll be back to visit the ones we missed this time! Thank you, Peter and Pam.

It never disappoints every time we go. The flat has every thing and more you need for a comfortable holiday with the lovely owners greeting you on a arrival to show you how it all works. Straight away you're at ease and you know your holiday will be a good experience. Minutes away from an unspoilt sea front with views of the IOW, village green, pub, convenience store and the wonders of the New Forest on your doorstep.
