Great cottage, in lovely village
Perfect holiday cottage in Somerset. All amenities. Little courtyard garden. Comfy bedrooms. Beckington is a lovely little village with bus links to Frome and bath

Wonderful stay as always!
This is our 5th or 6th visit to the cottage, and it is perfect in every way! We love staying here, the cottage is always clean and tidy, and well presented. It is considered our 2nd home! Close to a BP garage where we can get a last minute dinner, the farm show is a short drive away and have some fab fresh fruit and veg on offer. Longleat Safari is a must! Thank you Caroline and Pat :)

Glad to be back
We used to live in the village (actually next door to Well cottage) we loved having our two night stay last week and meeting up with friends.
The cottage was just what we needed, very comphy beds.
We will definitely be back.

Comfortable Cottage
Well cottage has plenty of charm and historical interest and contains everything you need for a short break exploring east Somerset and west Wiltshire. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. Whilst we did have a problem with the dishwasher, Pat and Caroline had it replaced within in a few hours. You do get a bit of traffic noise from the road outside during the day but this did not disturb us at night. Compared with other cottages/houses available around Bristol and Bath over the Autumn half-term, Well cottage was very good value.

Perfect stay in cosy cottage
We had a short break in Well Cottage after lockdown restrictions were relaxed in Spring 2021. What a lovely place to enjoy a change of scene and to get out and about again. The location is excellent. We were able to visit the local pub, farm shop and bakery/cafe (all very good). The village is full of historic character and is well situated for trips out to nearby towns and villages, and other attractions.
Well Cottage is a really special place to stay. It's cosy, but rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the log fires on the chilly Spring evenings, and catching the sun in the back yard in the afternoon. The kitchen is well equipped, and the house is well furnished, cared for and beautifully presented. The lavender products in the bathroom were a lovely touch of luxury.
Simply a great place for a relaxed break.

Lovely cottage!
A lovely cottage with everything you need. Parking easy outside, comfortable and clean, good shower and comfy beds. All in a very pretty village with more than one great pub.

Mentioned in the Domesday book, Beckington is a quiet but not dull village. There are 2 good pubs and a small delicatessen in the centre of the village and an award wining farm shop on the outskirts.
There are over 100 listed buildings with a thriving village and church community, tennis and cricket club.
Getting around
Regular buses into Bath and Warminster. Buses also go to Lacock, the National Trust Village.

By car, Beckington is conveniently placed just off the A36 half way between Bath and Warminster.There is also a good bus service from Bath town centre to Frome via Beckington.There are also regular trains from Bath to Reading and a less frequent service from Frome. Bristol airport is the closest.
