The Old Dairy barn is in a great location, so peaceful, a great place to relax and recharge the batteries, on arrival we were warmly met by Alicia, Nathan and bean the dog and a plate of home made brownies !! the cottage was immaculate, fully equipped, with a fantastic woodburner, a welcomed addition on a chilly evening. We were...

This is a beautifully converted barn, on an organic working farm, situated in a tiny village in lovely countryside near to New Quay. It is close to a beach where I saw a seal with new pups (warning signs tell you not to go too close to the seals in this case). The 'coastal path' joins up all the beaches...

We spent a week at the Old Dairy in August. It is so peaceful, a place where you can really get away from the speed of normal life and relax. It is a very comfortable and well-appointed cottage, lovely to come back to at the end of the day. We wanted a central point in order to visit the many...

About the neighborhood
Troed y Rhiw is just over a mile from Cymtydu beach on Cardigan Bay’s Heritage Coast. This Special Area of Conservation supports a colony of some 130 Bottle Nose Dolphins, Porpoises, and Grey Seals that are frequently seen close to shore. There is easy access to the coastal path and other footpaths and the farm is a few miles from some of Ceredigion’s best sandy beaches including National Trust beach Penbryn, Tresaith and Llangrannog. The lovely fishing village of New Quay is just three miles north of the farm.
Car recommended
How to get there
Railway: Aberystwyth or Carmarthen: 18.6 mi
Ferry: Fishguard: 18.6 mi
The farm is in Llwyndafydd, Ceredigion within the favoured coastal region. Cymtydu beach is a little over a mile's walk (or 5 minute drive) down a beautiful road. The farm can be easily located following signs off the A487.

We are 45 minutes from train stations at either Aberystwyth or Carmarthen, so we recommend reaching us by car. There is a bus service which runs from Aberystwyth to Cardigan along the A487, a two mile walk from us as well as the Cardi Bach bus which runs through beaches from New Quay to Mwnt.
