I didn't intend to take so long to write this review, but life got in the way - apologies to Susanna!
This is one of the lovliest places our family (two children and two adults) have ever stayed in. The owners, former architects from Britain and Switzerland, have sensitively and stylishly renovated and modernised this former vinter's complex in the village of Nissan. The apartments are bright, spotless, well-eqipped and styled with simple, bright Corbusier detailing. The pool is larger than most in holiday apartments and is crystal clear and lovely. The gardens are pretty and aromatic, and our children loved the cats and playing beach tennis etc in the gardens. The owners are very nice, and Susanna gave us a tour of the impressively restored main house, showing us before, during and after pics and explaining some of the history. the complex is located just a few minutes walk away from the village, which has bakeries, small shops and a market, and is within walking distance of the Canal du Midi and hills and meadows, allowing for some very pleasant cycling and hiking. Lots of good restaurants, plus Bezier, the coast and Montpelier all within a short drive. Everything was right here - we hope to go back!
