Please see reviews of our property on Trip Advisor, Moulin de la Roques – Noves. Conveniently located in the heart of Provence, between Saint Remy and Avignon, the historic grand estate of the Moulin de la Roque is the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that Provence offers with the whole family or good friends. Completely secluded, the Moulin is a stunning 12-acre estate accessible only by two private drives-one shaded by century-old plane trees, the other by a beautiful flowing river. We are only a 5-10 minute walk from the quaint village of Noves where you can find several local bakeries and anything else you may need to enjoy your Provencal meals prepared in your fully equipped kitchen and enjoyed on your private stone terrace with barbecue. As the estate is very large with spacious grounds, you have your own private mas (provencal farmhouse) as there is plenty of privacy between each house and each house enjoys their own very private terrace and grounds. A large gated and secured swimming pool will refresh you each afternoon as you return from touring the area. There are plenty of games to entertain both adults and children such as trampolines, badminton, Provencal ball game court (Pétanque), table tennis and foosball. Take a sunset walk in the 150-hectare forest that adjoins the property for stunning views of Les Alpilles and Mt. Ventoux, or just to collect wild rosemary or thyme for your dinner. La Bergerie, one of the oldest buildings on the estate, has beautiful views of the grand lawn and the spacious grounds from your private terrace covered with Wisteria. In accordance with the history of the estate, it has been restored with taste, charm, keeping the precious old world beauty but adding modern conveniences, kitchen, and baths. This estate is perfect for families with children as we have two trampolines, badminton, pétanque, swimming pool and game room with table tennis and foosball. It is also very accommodating for couples or friends sharing a vacation with a large shaded and sunny swimming pool, 150 hectares of walking trails through the adjacent forest and beautifully maintained estate for relaxing with a refreshing bottle of Provencal wine after a long day of touring the area. We are also a 10-minute walk into the quaint village of Noves for groceries, your baguette or a café. This house is charming, private, cool in summer and warm in winter. You will certainly enjoy it, we are confident! We, Guy and Gaby, the owners, welcome you to our home. We live on the estate in the manor house and are there for anything you may need whether it be advice, translation, introduction to the French culture or just a cup of sugar. Come and visit us. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to share our estate and our Provence with you! More

Additional amenities & feature info
La Bergerie is a charming farmhouse, once a barn for the sheep, now a tastefully renovated, comfortable and pleasing house where you will enjoy to spend hours under your Wisteria covered private terrace enjoying the nice views of the grand lawn and estate. The house itself retains all the old world charm of buildings in its century with a very unique stone arched chimney, beamed ceilings, lots of light, fresh provencal fabrics and nice antiques. Themodern kitchen, eating area with antique oak table from Baron Fallon's family and salon with comfortable sectional sofa, are open and convivial and lead to your stone Wisteria covered terrace with teak table, chairs and stone integrated barbecue. The ample sized bedrooms, again decorated with taste, simplicity with crisp provencal fabrics and antiques, are located on the second floor and include one ensuite bath (shower and sink) and a second complete bath with bath/shower. There are two separate toilet rooms, one on each floor. Each bedroom can be king size bed or twin depending on your preference. You will love this house and want to come back year after year as many of our guests do. Please read our reviews of the estate and La Bergerie on Trip Advisor (Le Moulin de la Roque, Noves or La Bergerie, Moulin de la Roque, Noves).

About the neighborhood
The area of the Les Alpilles, Saint Remy-de-Provence and its surrounding villages of Noves and others, offers charm and a beautiful rural countryside. You will see the rocky blue majestic mountains of the Les Alpilles highlighted by fields of yellow wheat, red poppies and expansive olive groves and dotted with the occasional stone farmhouses or mas. The village of St Remy is quaint, full of special boutiques for clothes, local products and delicious restaurants.Keeping the old world charm, you will love to walk through the narrow streets, enjoy the Wednesday outdoor provencal market and just take in the ambiance at an outdoor café. Noves, a historic and quaint typical village of Provence offers a different sort of ambiance as it is not touristy and still rich with the Provencal French...
