Great location in Fitzroy North with all it's amenities, close by Carlton and Fitzroy and with excellent tram links to the centre of Melbourne. Redgate Terrace is a beautiful Victorian terraced home full of lovely objects, comfortable furniture and all that you could wish for if you want to cook, dine, play games, sit outside and much else. Communication with the owners was excellent and they responded quickly. Although this may seem a little pricier than some, it represents a true value for money in that it offers a unique and very special holiday home. I highly recommend this and would love to return there one day myself.

We required accomodation at fairly short notice due to delays in completion of our home renovations, needing a location that was convenient to our respective workplaces and, also, to our home to check the renovation progress. How fortunate we were to find Red Gate Terrace. Daniel, the owner, was very helpful in arranging our booking and was kind enough to allow our Golden Retriever to stay overnight until she could move to her regular dog minder. Red Gate Terrace is perfectly situated in North Fitzroy with easy walking access to public transport, Piedmonte supermarket and a great range of cafes, restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful without compromising guests' privacy. We've always enjoyed visiting North Fitzroy but it was even better to immerse ourselves in this quiet and safe neighbourhood. Pooch owners have a very easy walk to the lovely, dog friendly Edinburgh Gardens nearby. The house itself is a delight with interesting and very comfortable furnishings as well as good quality household appliances. We felt very much at home here with the additional benefit of initial breakfast supplies and toiletries, all of which were of a great standard. On entering Red Gate Terrace, we felt very welcome and relaxed. Red Gate Terrace is a fabulous alternative to the usual cookie cutter apartments of Melbourne. We highly recommend it for visitors to Melbourne and as an alternative for residents seeking a "staycation", especially when renovations go topsy turvy. 11/10
