DESCRIPTION
Cas Can Caxan is a traditional finca in the northern hills between Sant Joan and Sant Miquel, with a distant sea view and splendid sunsets. This grand rural estate of 22 acres reaches out over an entire hillside from the green valley upto the forests at the top.
The house lies halfway up hill, surrounded by ancient, walled terraces, with local plants and fruit trees. The robust architecture reminds one of fore-long Moorish times - indeed some terrace walls date from a thousand years back. Many hands, generation upon generation, cultivated the finca, stone by stone. Successively new techniques were integrated and new rooms added, according to evolving needs - a tradition continuing into present days.

Paradise, Dream Wedding!
Firstly, I should have written this review a long time ago but mainly due to not knowing where to start, and needing a few months to de-compress from our beautiful wedding it has taken me longer than I anticipated. We feel so incredibly luck to have found Marina and Jeff and to have had our wedding hosted at the beautiful Can Caxan.
I held my wedding at Can Caxan in September 2014, it was absolutely perfect in every sense. We went to meet Marina and take a tour of the house in June last year and were just bowled over by the beauty of the place, and the obvious meticulous attention to detail visible in the extensive restoration and landscaping. The rooms are beautiful, very boutique and authentic, and the infinity pool with the waterfall is just stunning. We had already been liaising with Marina for several months prior to this meeting, so I already had an idea that we would get on as she seemed to understand perfectly the type of wedding we wanted to have (relaxed, bohemian) but meeting her in person further cemented this. Marina is such a kind and intuitive person and really put so much effort into planning our wedding from start to finish. She has lived on Ibiza for a number of years and so has many useful contacts and really creative ideas to put forward.
We had around 60 guests attend the ceremony and party, and half of our guests stayed in nearby villas, which was great as we could walk between them. Marina had used her excellent organisational skills to manage the rentals of these properties, which are not normally up for rental outside of family and friends, so that was a great help.
During the week before the wedding many of our family and friends went to a stag and hen party which Marina helped to organise at a beautiful, local hidden cove- which was just magical. Marina was always on hand to help with any last minute changes or advice which was so helpful.
For the actual wedding, Marina’s husband Jeff (who we met for the first time during the wedding week) catered for the wedding meal. It was an absolute feast and an incredible feet to deliver such high quality, delicious and well-presented food for that number of guests all at the same time. Jeff is a very accomplished chef, so we felt very privileged to have his personal services for the wedding. So many of our guests commented that the food was extremely yummy, and it was really course after course, which was great as we really wanted food to play a central role.
Marina’s organisation and attention to detail had clearly paid off, as the wedding was such a success, everything flowed beautifully- the marquee Jeff had constructed was gorgeous and the view whilst we all ate dinner with the sunset behind us was unforgettable, the decorations were lovely and the service from the staff was very smooth.
I don’t want to write too much here as I could go on in much more detail, but I would be happy to respond to anyone that wants more information. Ultimately, we feel so very lucky to have met Marina and Jeff, they went out of their way to create the dream wedding for us at Can Caxan; relaxed, beautiful and full of love. We will definitely stay in touch with Marina and Jeff, they are such great people and will definitely be returning to Can Caxan.

Geweldige vakantie in oktober.
wij waren met een groep van 4 gezinnen op deze fantastische locatie inclusief Jeff en Marina en de kids. we kunnen terug kijken op een heerlijke vakantie, hebben veel gezien van het eiland en dat in oktober. Ook de kinderen hebben zich heerlijk vermaakt met elkaar.
In de avonduren gezellig spelletjes gespeeld en heerlijk gegeten onder leiding van topkok Jeff ook nog wat kneepjes van het vak geleerd, is nooit weg.
Het was prachtig mooi weer en we genoten iedere avond van de mooie zonsondergangen.
Heerlijke bedden,prachtig zwembad en mooi terras. Een plek om heerlijk tot rust te komen en te genieten van het mooie uitzicht.
Jeff en Marina nogmaals bedankt voor de gast vrijheid.

Wow, what a place!
Wonderful villa. Nice quiet location in sant miquel and easy to get around the island.
We were a group of 9 for a stag weekend and there was easily enough space for everyone.
Marina was super helpful before we arrived and Jeff provided an amazing service once there - special thanks to Marjolin and Didi too. The concierge service provided was great and the BBQ on the last day was just was we needed - really worth investing in.
Everybody had a great time and would definitely come again, it really is as good as it looks in the photos.

Stunning and fun!!
The villa was absoloutely stunning, the rooms big, clean and beautifully designed and the pool area was out of this world. What made it was Jeff and Mirena, the owners. You really felt like they were sharing their home and the concierge service they offered was definitely worth it!!
Couldn't recommend it more!!

Excellent and magical week
I celebrated my 30th Birthday at the villa with a large group of friends. The villa is truly wonderful, very spacious and the pool area is out of this world. We found it easy to get to the nightclubs and attractions of Ibiza from the location and relaxing during the day.
The views are lovely to the sea and the countryside. Jeff and Marina were great hosts and we really enjoyed their service over the week. They have a beautiful finca but take a relaxed approach so you truly enjoy it.
We used the concierge service and it was well worth it. Jeff cooked a wonderful bbq on the first evening from the local butcher and we used the transport.
We are already considering a return trip! 10/10

Excellent Villa
16 of us stayed at this lovely villa located on a hillside just outside San Miguel. The villa has a fantastic outside terrace with a large infinity pool, plenty of seating and an outside cooking/bar area. The rooms are all well appointed with plenty of bathrooms to go around, there is a children's bedroom which was a bit of a squeeze for an adult but would be great for a family. Most of the rooms had mosquito nets and all had fans, it would be worth noting that the rooms are supplied with dehumidifers not full blown air con units, the fans were sufficient to allow you to sleep through the hot summer nights although the villa can get very warm.
The villa was easily big enough for a large group with plenty of surrounding land and lots of terrace space. With a variety sunbed, shades and pool towels provided. The pool is salt water and has great views!
Locally the beach is coarse sand but has plenty of sun beds, cafes and parking, it is enclosed by a headland, so nicely sheltered and pleasent to swim in. The town has all the ammenities needed but I would suggest a car is hired if you want to explore the island and to make the shopping trip easier.
We would return to stay again!

Homely, chic, family friendly oasis
My extended family consisting of 3 generations including 3 very young boys stayed ifamily an caxan and we could not have been happier. The layout of the accommodation spread right across the finca could not have suited us better. My only complaint was that the pool area was so breathtaking and comfortable we didn't want to leave the villa to explore the island!
From the moment we inquired about booking Henny and Maria took great pride in ensuring we had everything we needed to make the whole experience superb. Maria renovated the place to live in with her family and it certainly showed.what great care and attention had gone into it - so many little homely touches.

Beautiful located and authentic finca!
I've spent one week in this finca together with my family and friends. We arrived at night and we felt at home right a way, the property is located on a mountain and was beautiful lighted, the pool (different colours of light), the terraces etc.
When exploring the site it suprises you all the time with little details and nice decorations everywhere: nice plants, sculptures, terraces with benches etc.
It's an ideal place to spend with a group, you have your own space and privacy, but on the other hand you have a holiday together. Our children (6 and 9) really loved the pool and also the soccer field a lot.
The decoration and furniture of the finca is authentic, but with todays comfort. You feel it has been rebuilt with love and care, great atmosphere!
We had a nice view of Sant Miquel and could also see the sea. Especially at night we had long, nice bbq's at the pool (fully equiped kitchen with a Boretti bbq, bring your own baby phone for when the kids are in bed!) and looked down on the lights of Sant Miquel. This is a small village close by with a supermarket, tabaceria etc., so everything you need.
Ibiza is a really beautiful island with a nice atmosphere. Especially the north, where the house is located, is really nice. There are great beaches all over the island, so we never had to drive far to find another great beach again.
Renting a car is a must, you really need it to visit things and to do your daily shopping.
Overall we had a wonderful week on this beautiful island. Staying in this beautiful house was a big part of this. For sure I want to go back to this house next year!
