Welcome are families with children and grandparents , honeymooners and group of friends. In June and September we offer the Special treatment for the romantic couples which choose the villa for spending their special anniversary. The beach of Vico lake is at 5 minutes by car. There is possible to practice water sports as: canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, swimming. For adults and children tennis players there are the tennis courts with coach. Villa Glicine is an ideal spot from where you can reach the most interesting historical sites in Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria, as superb Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, Villa Lante in Bagnaia, Monster's Park in Bomarzo, Death Town Civita di Bagnoregio. For more tourist information we offer to our guests the leaflets , maps and itineraries of Etruscan Tuscia , Viterbo and Roman's countryside. Etruscan sites of Sutri, Tuscania, Tarquinia are at e few minutes. The thermal springs in Viterbo attract the visitors searching for health sulfur water, from centuries. You can enjoy of the imperial pool of Terme dei Papi with water at 58°C, as of the water in Bulicame , this last for free, for all over the year. In the nearest surrounding of Villa there are medieval villages Caprarola & Ronciglione with modern bars for tasting Italian espresso or cappuccino with cornetto, The local restaurants offer prime specialties of Italian Kitchen. Value for money is respected. At last, eternal city Rome. Is reachable in 50 minutes by bus or private car. Maxi Jacuzzi Whirlpool is available and included in the rental price from 15.6. until 15.9.2016. Otherwise on request directly to the owner, for € 60/ day, for minimum staying of 3 nights. Opening daily: from 8 AM until 7 PM. Towels change twice weekly Sheets change weekly Final cleaning is included in the rental price The heating in early spring and last autumn is upon Extra Fee: € 6/mc. We are preparing some very interesting itineraries of Tuscia, with maps and leaflets, in 3 languages. We selected some of the absolutely best restaurants, taverns and pizzerias (with the best pizza in the world!) And we will be happy to share our discovery of great flavors! So, to meet you soon !

Splendida location nel verde delle colline fronte lago.
Facilmente raggiungibile, un panorama mozzafiato, appartamenti ben accessoriati, pulitissimi e all'insegna della privacy. Se a tutto questo si aggiunge la dolce gentilezza della Signora Alena e la disponibilità di Roman, cosa si può desiderare di piu ? Ci siamo fermati pochi giorni, il tempo, poco clemente, non ci ha permesso di godere appieno tutta la splendida tenuta. Sicuramente torneremo. Grazie della squisita ospitalità.

About the neighborhood
Our first time in Italy and we were fortunate enough to base ourselves at Villa La Paiola. This is the place for you if you are seeking rural Italy and like to explore by day but return to a place of tranquility to watch the sun drop spectacularly behind the stunning mountains that frame the lake... I could sit there forever watching the lake turn from orange to silver and develop a drinking habit! The view is simply breath-taking and the evening sunset floods the comfortable sitting area with a warmth that seems almost healing.... not that we ever sat inside. What a way to relax and leave behind the stresses of everyday living!The house was clean and entirely adequate for our week stay. Our hosts were welcoming, helpful and charming, giving advice for getting to Rome by train (cheap and easy) and places to park the car next to the station (about pound;1 all day) The garden were well kept and colourful; our seating area very intimate, but then who needs more when beyond the low stone wall is a place of outstanding natural beauty as far as the eye can see! There are so few houses on Lake Vico because it is a national park and so the views are totally unspoilt.There was so much to see in the villages within a 50km radius that we struggled to visit it all and get the relaxation balance right; old Etruscan burial grounds, a host; settlement high in the mountains, And the pizzas in Viterbo at Il Monastero were so huge that each one was spread over two plates - delicious and excellent value! The lake was great to swim in; clean and appeared to be quite safe. It was picturesque and a novelty to be sunbathing in a;meadow; setting on the shore of a large lake with spectacular mountain scenery. We found a car essential.We will be back but next time with friends and extended The property La Paiola is ideal for this as it has been divided into several Suites each with private garden and view. If you are looking for large living accommodation you might be disappointed - if you are looking for clean, friendly, very adequate facilities with the most stunningly beautiful scenery, you most certainly will not!
Getting around
The most interesting and important historical and cultural sites in Lazio around Rome are within a few minutes drive from Villa la Paiola. Renaissance Gardens and Villas : caprarola with Farnese Palace, Bagnaia with Villa Lante, Monster's Park in Bomarzo, Death town Civita di Bagnoregio, entertainment Acqua Park with toboggan, or healthy thermal springs in Viterbo. The car is highly recommended.
