Pets are welcome by prior arrangement, we charge a fee of £45 per pet. If this is not added to the booking fee we ask guests to leave the money in the honesty box on arrival.
The cottage is strictly NON SMOKING.
The cottage is set back from the road in a very secluded spot just 50 yards from Loch Rannoch and backs on to the ancient Black Wood of Rannoch for fantastic walking/running and mountain biking. The cottage comes with fishing rights and has its own stretch of lochside (please note the cottage is not located directly on the loch shore) where you can paddle about or go for a swim.
Sit in the garden room to watch red squirrels, wood peckers and many other birds in their natural environment, just yards away.
Vistor Feedback:
'Thank you very much for letting us use this very special cottage. We have holidayed in a few cottages & cabins over the years, but we have never felt so relaxed & refreshed as we have at West Carie. Sitting in the garden with the sun to the west with the quiet and stillness will be remembered for a long time, as will the beautiful scenery and walks. The walks on this holiday have been done at one pace (slow) but still crammed everything in, including Glen Lyon. The weather has been mixed but not enough as keep us in. Light waterproofs were all that was needed. As I write this I am thinking of the wonderful week we have had at West Carie Cottage and definitely this goes on to our short list of “return to”. Thank you very much again.'
Cottage so peaceful & comfortable. Enjoyed the loch (boating), walking locally and seeing the wildlife which included a greater spotted woodpecker & large birds of prey. So many primroses and bluebells. A week was not enough.'More
