Great place just down from the abbey, well set up with spacious mai bedroom with great light and cool breeze, modern facilities & appliances. Good places to eat in Caunes and surrounding villages. Really enjoyed our stay inc detour for passports on way back as a reason for another lunch at Cafe de la grande fountaine!

Modern, renovated kitchen and bathroom. The house is situated in the medieval village of Caunes Minervois, which nestles between the Montagne Noire (Black Mountain) and the vineyards of the Midi. Caunes is only 20 km from Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, and is an easy drive from the Mediterranean (1 hour) and Spain (3 hours). It’s less than 2 hours from both Montpellier and Toulouse. There are airports and rental cars at these cities and Carcassonne.
