With wonderful views of the Ionian Sea, these newly constructed 1 bedroom modern luxury penthouse apartments are located in a rural and relaxing setting with beaches, bars and traditional Greek Tavernas within 15 minutes walk and Messonghi village with its supermarkets, shops and bakery just a 30 minute walk away. The penthouse apartments include a fully fitted kitchen, air conditioning, satellite TV and a private balcony leading from the bedroom. The most attractive feature of the penthouses is the private rooftop sun patio, exclusive to each penthouse, with its own jacuzzi, sun loungers and swing. The complex has a 15m x 6m pool, sun terrace and communal BBQ area. Private off road parking is available for guests only. Finally, Spileo village is part of an established 2 hour circular...

Phantastische Unterkunft mit einem herrlichen Ausblick auf das Meer
Eine sehr wunderschöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen kleinen Anlage. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und erhielten sehr gute Empfehlungen und Tips für Ausflüge auf der Insel. Unser Penthouse bot einen phantastischen Panoramablick auf das Meer. Sehr guter Service - vom Wäschewechsel bis zum Ansprechpartner vor Ort. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Herzlichen Dank! Wir werden die Unterkunft unbedingt weiterempfehlen.

Fabulous
The apartments are situated up a hill with great views over to the Greek mainland and the village below. The penthouse apartment has a large lounge/kitchen/dining area with a sofa facing out to the views through a very large window. There is a spacious bedroom with a balcony offering the same views - ideal spot for breakfast. There is also a spacious, private terrace at the end with sunbeds, table and chairs, swing seat and jacuzzi.
There is a lovely pool and BBQ area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. This place is so quiet and relaxing. There are regular visits from the local manager, Pauline, who can also be contacted by phone should you have any questions or problems. There is also an area with books to borrow and lots of information on the area as well as things to do. There is also a book of walks but, be warned, Corfu is very hilly!
There is a great restaurant, 75 Steps, just a 4 minute walk away. The walk up the drive to the road although short is very steep and a killer but you do work up an appetite. There are two ways to walk down into Messonghi. A pretty way down a track and then along the coastal road with some more restaurants en-route. The climb back up this way has a shorter but steeper hill. A quicker route is along the road (there are very few cars) and it takes about 20 minutes. Where this road enters the village there are more restaurants as well as an ATM, a great bakery and two supermarkets. We gound General Market to be better than 3K. This is also where you can catch the bus into Corful Town - just 2.40 one way.
So, fabulous apartment, great location,peaceful and relaxing, lovely people. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent apartment and service
We were greeted on arrival by Pauline the apartments' manager who showed us around the apartment explaining how everything worked. The view from the apartments living area was amazing with a nice big window letting you enjoy the views from a comfy sofa. The same view could be had from the balcony off the bedroom and the side terrace which had a nice hot tub and sunbeds to enjoy the sun. We used the pool for the first few days and found this totally relaxing as we were the only ones using it. The whole place was well maintained and any issue was resolved either the same day or next. It felt like you were staying in a hotel with bed linen and towels changed every second day. Pauline and her team were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The apartments were a good 20 minute walk from Messonghi which had a good bakers and a few supermarkets to stock up on. There were also plenty of restaurants to visit in the local area, some being a short walk from the apartment others requiring a car. All in all it is a fantastic, relaxing place to stay.

Absolute a fantastic experience
Very nice, clean, and beautifull penthouse with big balcony, jacuzzi, sun beds and swing bed. Very nice view from the livingroom/balcony and a very quiet place. We love it!
Above all Pauline is a fantastic hostess! Very friendly people.

An amazing place to visit!
Great people, great service, great accommodation and great island in general. The penthouse was absolutely fab with an amazing view of the whole local area, Corfu Town, the mountains of mainland Greece and of course the lovely Sea. The apartment was fully equipped with all the comforts of home plus an awesome deck with its own private jacuzzi, two sun-beds and a "swing-seat". Definitely recommending this complex and already planning our next trip there, same place same room 😉.

Views and comfort
Great location with wonderful views to Albania over the Ionian sea. Crystal clear swimming pool for use of the few apartments in the House. The Penthouses have a jacuzzi terrace and the best views, with kitchenette, dining room, bathroom, king size bedroom. We walked to the local tavernas through the olive groves, and the sea is only 10 minutes walking away on such a track. But best of all, Pauline manages the property and is so welcoming and helpful. Pity we only had 4 nights here - we haven't used the car and need more time to explore other areas!

Beautiful penthouse close to Messonghi
We had a lovely stay at Spileo House. We didn't actually realise we'd booked the penthouse as first but we're so glad we did, as it had a gorgeous private terrace with our own sun loungers, hanging 3 seater, and hot tub – all with stunning views of the mountains! And of course we had use of the lovely shared pool, which was often totally empty during our stay. Jayne was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and did everything to ensure we had a great holiday. One thing I'd recommend is hiring a car or bike to get about, as even the walk to Messonghi and Moraitika can be a bit far on foot in the heat. In all, we had a great holiday and I'd thoroughly recommend Spileo House.

Beautiful place to stay. Verry quiet, verry clean en pauline and her staff make your holiday super relaxed. Everything you need for a holiday is in Spileo House..

Comfortable, luxurious apartment away from the crowds
Amazing location with beautiful view from every room. Pauline was very friendly and helpful. The place is great for a quiet relaxing holiday. The jacuzzi and pool were very welcome after spending the days touring Corfu. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Corfu.

About the neighborhood
Spileo House is tucked away on a beautiful tree-covered hillside with amazing views of the surrounding countryside and the beautiful Ionian Sea. It is within close proximity of the traditional village of Spileo and is central to a number of walking routes suitable for all levels of walkers. At the same time, despite its secluded location which offers both privacy and tranquillity, Spileo House is a mere five-minute drive from the very popular tourist resorts of Messonghi and Moraitika. Both resorts offer a full rang of facilities and amenities and are adjacent to a beautiful sandy beach. Facilities in the
area are: supermarkets and shops, bars and restaurants, car and bike hire, bakeries and chemists and a laundry service.
Getting around
When it comes to getting around, one can visit any one of the many reputable car and bike hires companies in the nearby resorts of Messonghi and Moraitika. Competitive prices and a reliable service are offered. Car, motorbike and bike hire are all available. Regarding public transport, the public (green) bus service departs regularly from the roundabout in Moraitika which is approximately one kilometre from our location. This service also visits Spileo and stops less than one hundred metres from the entrance to the property. The service departs at approximately 7.00 am for Corfu town and returns at approximately 3.00 pm on a daily basis. Finally, at a distance of about 850 metres from Messonghi, we are within easy reach, even on foot.

How to get there
Our location is approximately half an hour's drive south of the airport and quite easy to reach. Turn left as you leave the airport grounds and follow the signs for Benitsis and Lefkimmi. Drive straight through both Benitsis and Moraitika (the second large village en route from the airport) until one gets to the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout and follow the signs for Messonghi and Spileo village. From this point on one ignores the left turnings and simply follow the road straight uphill to the small village of Spileo and our location. As you drive uphill the road gets both steeper and narrower. Drive past the small church on the left, the the sharp left bend and our drive is on the left about fifty metres after this bend. This downhill drive leads directly to the gates of Spileo House.
