Garth Barns are luxury self catering barns. The outdoor unheated pool is the small private Garth Lake (70mx30m), about 300 metres from the Barns. There is jetty for diving from and 2 Canadian canoes and 2 little boats. The Barns are set in glorious countryside just two miles from the delightful small town of Llanidloes, with its interesting shops, pubs and cafes. Together, the Barns (Hafod and Ty Nant) and Garth Country House comfortably sleep at least 48 in 18 bedrooms (16 ensuite). The Barns and Garth Country House are normally booked together unless they are still available a month before the required dates. The barns are close together on either side of the spacious landscaped courtyard and garden, with a pond and stream. Amazing venue for a yoga retreat
Stayed here for a group yoga retreat, amazing venue and Veronica the host was very welcoming. Lovely rooms, great location, the lake for cold water swimming was freezing but so energising. Yoga studio was perfect. Views and countryside stunning.

Amazing!
Garth Barns is a lovely venue for a family/group gathering. There is lots to do within the property come rain or shine. Veronica is very approachable and accommodating enabling us all to have a really special week's stay. Thank you!

Great place
Had a fantastic stay here.Veronica was very welcoming and could not do enough for us.Very spacious, beds comfortable, everything you need ,cutlery, crockery etc.Brought over some toys for the children to play with.Fantastic views, Great Lake to swim in or get the boat/canoe out.BBQ to use and lovely log fires.Well worth a visit .Thank you Veronica

What a wonderful reunion at this place
We had an amazing five days staying with more than 30 of us. Very friendly management with lot of passion in hospitality and caring. We hope to come back soon

Absolutely fantastic place to stay!
We booked the whole venue for a family and friends birthday and wedding celebration. Everyone had the most amazing time and comfortable stay. The owners Veronica and John were so helpful and friendly and made us all feel right at home. Although the weather was perfect we had to try the campfire in the evening and it was quite magical. All our guests enjoyed the experience of spending time together after over a year of not being able to see each other, so much so, they all want to do it again, so we will be back! Thank you so much. Beautiful accommodation & incredible hosts!
We have just got back from a stay at Garth Barns, and cannot rave enough about it. Veronica and John were the best hosts and extremely helpful. The barns and surrounding area are so serene and peaceful - there's so much to see and do. There's lots of walks on the farm and nearby, with a large lake for swimming / canoeing, plus a campfire and cabana with BBQ. We also enjoyed use of the sauna and gym area, along with table tennis and other garden games. Even though Covid made things a little difficult, Veronica and John made us all feel safe and the facilities were cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis so that all guests could enjoy. We were never stuck for entertainment and had an amazing time - highly recommend and we will definitely be returning when we get the chance!

What an absolutely stunning location with the backdrop of the Welsh countryside. Veronica went out of her way helping us manage our special occasion with the restrictions set in place by COVID. Instilling confidence and accommodation to all our needs, nothing was ever too much trouble, can’t thank her enough for her welcoming hospitality. Ideal for a large family gathering.
We have just returned from a wonderful six night stay at Garth Country House. There were 12 of us from 67 to 3 and we all have plenty to do even when it rained. The house is very well equipped particularly the kitchen and the six en-suite rooms suited us perfectly. The lake and surrounding country side provide hours of fun as well as the covered BBQ are and fire pit. Inside there was space for a small table tennis table and there was even Sky sports for our cricket mad family. Veronica and John were perfect hosts... helpful but not intrusive. They had even arranged a treasure hunt which was enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend for a family gathering.

Beyond expectations!
Ive just returned home from a week here and could not praise this place enough!! Having lost our holiday abroad our friends found this for the whole party as an alternative. A group of 7 adults and 7 children staying in the beautifully maintained main house with every single thing you might need to enjoy your stay and more. Large family spaces, with the most amazing kitchen facilities I've ever experienced. Veronica and John were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were made to feel so welcome and the kids loved exploring the ground. Veronica was so kind and engaging with them that I'm sure they'll remember her for a long time. Thanks for making our week so fabulous
