About the neighborhood
Duxford Air Museum is a wonderful place to visit and of course has regular air shows throughout the year, it is 5 miles away. Audley End House and Gardens is a beautiful place to visit (8 miles) and regularly has Proms / Musical Evenings and other events. Newmarket Races and Newmarket Nights are fun throughout the season and there is a lot to see in Newmarket regarding the history of racing. The village itself has horse riding stables and we have Nuthampsted Shooting Ground and Barkway Park Golf course nearby. We also boast a Rally Driving School locally for an adrenilin boost! There are many beautiful walks and villages in the area and excellent cycling and very importantly lots of lovely places to eat and relax. A days sightseeing and shopping in Cambridge is usually high on guest's...
How to get there
Nearest Airport is London Stansted which is 30 minutes by car. To drive from any direction, come off the M11 at Junction 10 (Duxford/Saffron Walden) and take the A505 signed towards Royston. After 3 miles turn off onto the B1368 signed Barley / Barkway and Barley village is 2 miles along here. We are in the centre of this rural village. To arrive via train come from London Kings Cross to Royston (typical journey time 45 minutes) and take a taxi for the 4 mile drive to Barley. There is a taxi rank at the station or call Barley Taxi Company Draytons,
