Spacious villa with off road parking, a large garden, private 10x4 pool and air conditioning. Located in the small village of Homps (population 700) on the Canal du Midi which has six restaurants, a bar, supermarket and fuel station.
The villa is 30 minutes from the historic cities of Carcassonne, Beziers and Narbonne with lovely beaches nearby.
Comprehensive cooking facilities in the large kitchen. Large pool terrace with loungers. Pergola with dining table provides shaded eating.

Homps-a great place for a holiday.
We’re going back again in 2025 which says it all.
The house, equipment, location and everything else is great. Excellent restaurants and local facilities, plenty of things to do and places to visit.

Fantastic holiday property in Homps, France.
We had the most wonderful 2 week family holiday here in the beautiful village of Homps.
The accommodation is very modern and has absolutely everything that you need. We especially liked that there were an abundance of bath towels and the owners supplied beach towels too! Excellent idea for families.
Both showers are excellent, really spacious and powerful. The property also has a very convenient toilet outside, adjacent to the pool. Again, very important for families with young children.
The outdoor space is just perfect. The swimming pool was just what we all needed during the hot summer days. The swimming pool has a safety alarm, easy to use after reading the instructions and gave us the peace of mind that our children could play safely around the pool.
Each room had air conditioning, another plus point of this house. Each bedroom is spacious and the beds were comfortable. We all slept well!
The house is in walking distance to a really good mini supermarket and lots of lovely restaurants.
The owners are very friendly and respond promptly to emails, making sure that any questions were answered before our trip. They provided a fantastic welcome basket with lots of holiday essentials.
What a wonderful property- we are booked up again for 2024!

Back again & still in love
I had forgotten how wonderful it is here.
Short stroll to the canal for a drink or a meal out. There's a little play park and patanque pitches round the corner.
The villa has everything you need from pool floats to pizza cutters.
Took a trip to a safari zoo 45mins away and visited Carcassonne old cite which is beautiful and full of shops & cafes.
Place has 8 beds however you could squeeze a few more little ones in, there's a sofa bed and space for travel cot too.
We will be back.

We have visited four times now and are booking our fifth trip. The property is wonderful, Homps and the surrounding area give us a great holiday. We are very well cared for by the owners in every way possible and look forward to next year.

A very relaxing holiday
We have recently returned from another brilliant holiday at La Pepiniere after a 2 year Covid gap. It is the most relaxing place to stay and so very well equipped. It was extremely hot weather whilst we were there but the air conditioning and the pool made such a difference. We took advantage of the BBQ and every evening had our meal at the outside table under the shading - perfect. Loved the various lights!

Lovely property, well appointed and excellent for large families - been back several times
Nice house in a superb peaceful location - everything you need in the house and if you want a peaceful holiday plenty of places to wander and things to do without need for a car. Interesting places to see within a short drive, and decent pool which keeps the children entertained all day, with english TV and plenty of games if the weather turns.

Just love it !
We returned to La Pepiniere for our fourth stay so it felt like going home. The house and all the flowering pots were as welcoming as ever. We did have a minor problem upon arrival but a message to Malcolm, the caretaker meant that it was sorted very efficiently and Jim, the owner, as always made contact to ensure that it had been dealt with. Every year, we consider the house perfect but changes are regularly made for improvement. All very satisfactory and once again, we had a brilliant two weeks of real relaxation. Homps is a great place to stay with a very good choice of restaurants and excellent entertainment watching the locks being navigated by novice crews!
Needless to say, we have booked again for next year.

Amazing stay
We stayed at this amazing villa with a wonderful swimming pool, the villa was so well equipped it caters for everyone, you dont need to even take towels if you dont want to and there was a lovely welcoming basket with some nice treats. There were 6 of us but plenty of room to spread out and have our own space if needed. We went to visit a small village called Minerve this was wonderful hearing about the history and walking around the village. The owner is extremely helpful and will answer any questions that you may have, plus ther is an informatin book at the villa which is really helpful. I cant praise this place high enough and within walking distance of bars, restaurants and a small supermarket at the garage.

This was our second visit and we have booked our third, which says it all. The house and pool are really good as are the equipment and facilities.
Homps on th Canal du midi is a wonderful location and there are great, good value restaurants and wine producers locally.
If you are a cyclist there is the flat or mountains to chose from.

Happy Hols in Homps
Perfect location ,excellent villa with everything we needed ,our party included grandparents teenage boys 10 year old girl ,eight in all! Swimming pool was first class many evenings spent walking to local restaurants on the canal du midi 7 minute walk away . Local amenities were very adequate ,croissants every morning just a walk away!

About the neighborhood
La Pepiniere is in the lovely village of Homps which is situated on the banks of the Canal du Midi (UNESCO World Heritage site). The villa is a 7-8 minutes walk from the canal which has lots of tourist boats passing by in the summer. Six restaurants and a bar can be found on the canal side. There is a shop within walking distance (0.5km), or a number of larger supermarkets in driving distance, Olonzac (3km), Leznignan (11km), Rieux (14km), Trebes (26km) and Narbonne (28km). There is an excellent market at Olonzac each Tuesday morning and an ever bigger market at Lezignan on Wednesdays.<BR>Historic sites include Minerve, Carcassonne, Beziers, Narbonne, Perpignan and many Cathar castles, including those at Lastours, Queribus and Peyrepertuse. There is swimming and kayaking at the local lake and river Aude. Bikes can be hired in Homps to explore the local area and to ride along the banks of the Canal du Midi. Cruises on the Canal du Midi can be boarded at Homps. <BR>Golf courses are at Carcassonne and Beziers.

Fly budget airline to Carcassonne (40km), Beziers (72km), Perpignan (85km) by Ryanair, or Montpellier (125km), Toulouse (138km) by Easy Jet. Homps is on the Canal du Midi on the D610 from Carcassonne to Beziers.<BR>A car is recommended if you want to explore the area, but if you just want a quiet relaxing holiday around the pool it is possible to get the train to Lezignan Corbieres which is a short taxi ride away from Homps.
