Providing the perfect holiday retreat and surrounded by outstanding natural beauty the New Forest National Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and popular for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, golf and many other activities.
The local pub is just a short walk and the small town of Fordingbridge is approximately one and a half mile away. The New Forest is also the home to numerous quaint tea rooms, local produce markets, farm shops, pubs and good quality restaurants.

First-time visitors to the New Forest so unsure of where to stay but it turns out we chose very well!! Lovely accommodation and friendly host.....well situated to explore the area and with good access to the coast and to Salisbury. Great pub within walking distance and great walks around the locality. Highly recommended!!

Great location
This small but perfectly formed one bedroom holiday accommodation was a great find on trip advisor. It has everything you need for a short or longer stay in the New Forest.

Badgers Holt. Fordingbridge
Excellent week at Badgers Holt. Very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Bernie and Penny were very helpful and made us very welcome and thanks for all the little extras like the milk and shortbread. Good base for the New forest and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend and will visit in the future.

Beautiful place to stay
Perfect place to stay. near the forest and a short walk to the local Pub, which serves lovely food. Badger Holt is a lovely place, we would highly recommend. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable, spacious bedroom. Lovely owners, very helpful. quick response from owners.

Wonderful, fantastic, perfect!!
Stayed here in August this year. Very quiet location mostly surrounded by fields. The accommodation itself has just about everything you could possibly need (including a dishwasher, steam iron, ironing board etc.). Whoever decorated./furnished this really knows about good interior design. The shower is one of the best I've ever used away from home. Everything suggested high quality and care.
Penny and her family were all very nice and helpful.
I would recommend this to anyone!

Excellent - but don’t tell anyone as it will probably be fully booked next time you want it!
If your looking for high quality self-catering accommodation in a beautiful part of the country then look no further. Situated in Godshill in the New Forest, Badgers Holt provides the ideal location from which to explore at your leisure. The accommodation is perfect with the Owners going that extra mile to ensure you are made welcome - with milk in the fridge, the heating on and a packet of chocolate biscuits. There is a local pub about twenty minutes safe walk away, although you”ll need a torch if your returning from their at night. Nearer is the Sandyballs Camp site, and although we didn’t venture in I believe non-residents are welcome to use the facilities.
We have already committed ourselves to returning - but I will assume accommodation to this standard is in demand.

Perfect Match
We needed somewhere to stay near friends in the New Forest close enough for us to walk home after a drink and they found this annex which was perfect. Kitchen, lounge and a large master bedroom with ensuite and we had more than we needed. Quiet location off a small lane and great host and separate door for access.

Cosy hideaway for two
We were blessed with the weather and were able to explore Hampshire and Wiltshire retiring to Badgers Holt after each day of sightseeing.
The apartment is more spacious than the pictures imply.
Well equipped, well maintained and clean.
Great WiFi and spacious parking in a country getaway.
Penny and her family were lovely to chat to and gave us some helpful ideas.
We would happily stay again.

Perfect for two
Comfortable, well-equipped, very clean and well-kept. Great position for walks and bike rides. Handy shop and cafe at the Sandy Balls park, pub with food a short walk away. Plenty of parking, free wi-if. Ideal base for two to explore the New Forest.

Lovely accommodation
Had a lovely stay at Badgers Holt. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. It was clean and tidy and we even had welcome biscuits! The location is perfect, within a short walk of the Fighting Cox pub where we had a tasty meal, also you can walk to Sandy Balls to pick up supplies at the shop. Fordingbridge is also a short drive away. We were lucky with the weather and this was a lovely location to be in.
Highly recommended for a top notch forest base.
