Nice cottage, great location
The cottage is in a great location for climbing Kinder Scout and other walks and activities in the area. It was good value for money, the shower is a decent strength and the place was clean and it had everything we needed. We didn't meet Doug in person but he was helpful and responsive in all our communications before and during the trip so I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area and recommend it to others.

Hayfield 'Fairy Bank' Holiday Cottage
We had a wonderful 3 day break at Fairy Bank. The cottage was warm and comfortable. compact but with everything that we needed, including maps and a wealth of information on walks in the area. Doug is very friendly and was helpful and responsive to all our requests.

Mr
Pleasant little Peak District cottage, one of a row, with view of fields at the back . Simple modern pine interior and plain country look . The quite steep stairs need care at night. All we wanted for a brief stay for a family event in Hayfield . Well pleased . Janet

Loved it, the views are great, pubs nearby have great food and great beer. Perfect place for walking/cycling etc. 5 of us stayed there for a week, plenty of room in the house, I would highly recommend it

Great house in a great location
This was a great house for a walking break out in the peaks for five of us. Doug is a top bloke and was very helpful during our stay. There are some great pubs in close distance to the property which was just what we needed after a long days walking.

Lovely base for a weekend in Hayfield
Lovely little cottage, ideally located for exploring Hayfield and its surrounding areas. Great price too. Larger than we thought it would be. We would book again the future.

Well equipped, close to village with Doug great for local advice
Had a great time despite mixed weather. Cottage well equipped, good food in local pubs - we tried both the Royal and the George and were not disappointed at either. Doug's advice to walk to New Mills was great for the conditions and very interesting to explore.
