situated in himalayan town of joshimath we are providing the best of the homely experience to the travelers. while resting in your room one can have a great view of himalayan ranges and the city also.all our six rooms are named after some of the himalayan peaks which are easily seen from the room/town and nearby places.the host or the owner of the place is a hotel management graduate from institute for hotel management chandigarh and had worked with many of the reputed organizations.working to provide the best stay experience he himself helps all his guests.

You will only understand whe you stay at this little oasis what a wonderful view ,neat and clean rooms, too good food and above all the great host Mr. Suraj , thank you Suraj for making our trip so enjoyable.

Wonderful stay at hotel sleeping beauty
Amazing and wonderful experience in hotel, owner Suraj is the most honest and cooperative person I have ever met. Hospitality provided by him makes me feel like am with family..he himself cook sumptuous mutton masala and trust me, it's a delicacy..room's are neat and tidy, bathrooms are clean and hygienic, restaurant is perfect... must say, it's a perfect place to stay in joshimath since Auli ropeway is just a walking distance away.. keep up the good work Suraj 👌

One of the best place i lived 🏠
Peaceful atmosphere, friendly room service.The hotel gives privacy and luxury.
The rooms were tidy and well maintained. The hotel has restaurant which provides good quality food.
Overall it was a excellent stay at the hotel with very delightful ambience. and most important the person ‘Suraj ji’ ( owner and best chef ) they treat us as our own ! He is a very nice guy and his brother is also a smart person !! I will recoment every guy who is traveling to Badrinath ji or auli or valley of flowers to come and fell comfort on this place best wishes for sleeping beauty and thank you Kaprwan ji god bless you both

Waking up every morning with the most amazing mountain view !
We were supposed to stay at The Sleeping Beauty for one night only and we ended up staying 3... what made us change our plans was actually a series of unfortunate events as we got sick with flu and we had to cancel our trip to the valley of the flowers. Although we were very upset about this, the Sleeping Beauty was the perfect place to recover and to discover the unexpectedly beautiful valley of Joshimath.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Set in a peaceful neighborhood overlooking the Sleeping Beauty mountain (the magic view that welcomed us every morning through the windows of our room) and far from the noise of the town, the hotel is only 10 minutes walking to the center of the town where all the shops and public transports are. The rooms are clean and modernly decorated. The food is delicious, home-made and prepared on the spot by a talented chef...we had dinner there every night and every time we would order something different and every time we were served a delicious meal! Suraj is a very kind and friendly host. We had many interesting conversations about India, religion and tradition, food, nature, etc. He also helped us to change the bookings for the following destination and to arrange for our transport.
But what came to us as a surprise is the beautiful scenery of the Joshimath valley ! In the travel guide, Joshimath is definitely under rated and described as a stop over to the Valley of the Flowers, but now that we have visited it I can say that it is a great destination itself to be explored. Not only you can take day trips to Auli and Badrinath, but there is also a beautiful path that starts just behind the accommodation, which passes through pine forest, local vegetation & flowers and a tiny abandoned village and it offers striking views over the steep valley. We even saw vultures flying up from the bottom of the valley! And all the way we were accompanied by the interesting stories of Suraj that has also much knowledge about local plants and wild berries!
So the sadness to have skipped the Valley of the Flower gradually disappeared to leave space to the excitement of having discovered a magical place that is missed by most of the tourists !

To book or not to book?
Very new and very modern! The guy Suraj, the owner does everything he can to make sure you're OK. It is a pricy hotel but compared to other places in Joshimath, no wonder he charges so much. We went in the off season yet would not give us the room any cheaper. Other than the steep price, it's a great place and lovely food in the restaurant. Well, you get what you pay for right. Yet, all said and done, should consider a better price as we saw so many travellers around even in the off season but wouldn't pay that kind of price, a lower price online will result in more inquiries for conversion. We spent some more time in Joshimath and paid 1000 rupps less than this place and to tell you the truth, we enjoyed it just as much.....

A little gem in joshimath!!!
We stayed for just 1 night as we felt the hotel was a little overpriced, however it was a wonderful 1 night. The room is spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it, I was a sleeping beauty!!! What I loved about this hotel was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, what a lovely guy! Also the attention to detail, toiletries in the room, slippers, almost everything you needed for your stay! It was off season so no other tourists but I can imagine in season when the hotel is in full swing that it is a fun and happening place. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Amazing Stay at Hotel and Delicious Foos
It was amazing experience at the hotel we were 6 friends we stayed there for 5days 4Nights and it was awesome experience with the owner of the property, he prepared delicious food for us. I recommend everyone if you need a good experience at hotel its a must stay here at Joshimath near Auli.

Delicious food and comfortable stay
We 3 friends stayed here after doing a gruelling 8 days trek to Bagini glacier. The hospitality was amazing. The owner himself is the chef and earlier had been working as a chef in different Star hotels in various parts of the country. All the rooms are facing towards the mighty Himalayan peaks. Will recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking for a peaceful stay slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Amazing stay
It was not just a hotel to live ,it was a feeling that we stayed at our own house ...everything served so well ,whatever we wana eat it was made , owner was so humble and kind he made the beautiful service and food. Rooms were clean and staff was also excellent . location was lovely name itself describes the location , we would love to go back there and stay . thanks for wonderful vacations .sleeping beauty

Outstanding customer service, beautiful views, delicious food and comfortable clean room
My boyfriend and I were at a loss trying desperately to find a place to stay over new year and it was getting late and cold. We fell upon The Sleeping Beauty and were immediately giving a warm welcome and shown to a gorgeous, clean room with hot shower. It was late but they still kindly cooked us some delicious food and made us feel like Kings. This is a family run hotel and I cannot recommend more highly - the owners english is fantastic and he knows how to give excellent customer service. Thank you so much and apologies for the late reply. We will be back!
