Cortijo Las Montoras is a 250 year old 5 bedroom farmhouse (Cortijo), carefully renovated to a very high standard located in the heart of the Andalucian countryside, near the city of Alhama de Granada.
Opening to the public in June 2014 Cortijo Las Montoras offers 3 en-suite double rooms and one en-suite family suite with two rooms sharing bathroom, large dining and living area, patio, magnificent views and large area for parking. Our traditional tiled floors, rustic farmhouse style furniture and decoration offers comfortable accommodation for you and your family.
The peace and tranquillity of the surrounding olive groves and cereal fields, offers the ideal place for relaxation, away from the stresses of urban life.

Amazing stars! 🤩
My group of 10 stayed one night at the beautiful Cortijo Las Montoras. Alina was a wonderful host taking care of food and tours. Very comfortable rooms to relax in the countryside of Andalucia.

Great stay at the Cortijo
I had a great stay at the Cortijo. Alina and her husband were extremely welcoming and ensured all measures were taken to comply with rules during these times of COVID-19. Alina was a perfect host providing an amazing buffet breakfast, a tour of the town, a hike along the river, a trip to the hamam baths and to top it all off a trip to a nearby lake with turquoise coloured water. The sky was so clear at night that we could even do some stargazing! Will definitely be back again!

Perfect Stay
We had a wonderful stay at the Cortijo Las Montoras set in a beautiful quiet spot with just a short drive to Alhama de Granada. We enjoyed visiting the town and having a lovely walk along the Camino de Los Angeles and can reward yourself with a stop off at the restaurant for a drink or lunch at the end of the track before your return walk to the town. We joined the historic walk around Alhama which was very Interesting. If you are keen on archeology a visit to Salar to see the Roman villa which archaeologists are about to start the next phase was fascinating or a trip to the Arabic baths. Alina & Lawrence are lovely hosts very friendly & helpful and can provide you with this information. We thoroughly enjoyed staying just outside town , so peacefull to sit on the terrace after a day exploring, you can take a dip in the plunge pool also very refreshing. The Cortijo has been beautifully restored, very spacious and comfortable, ideal for small or larger parties. Alina serves up a lovely breakfast and evening meals (by request) were delicious. We highly recommend you stay at this wonderful location.Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable. Regards Rosie & Simon

The sounds of silence
A perfect place to enjoy Alhama de Granada and near by Granada, Málaga, and Córdoba. Beautiful views fron the terrace and the silence and stars at night is amazing.

Cortijo extraordinario y una noche vieja inolvidable
Cortijo muy cercano a Granada y a la vez ubicado en un paraje recóndito lejos de la civilización.
Recibimos un trato extraordinario por parte de sus propietarios, los cuales te hacen sentir como en tu propia casa.
La vivienda en sí está estupendamente acondicionada. Nos llamó la atención la amplitud de las habitaciones, de la cocina y sobre todo la amplitud del salón-comedor perfecto para nuestro grupo. Han sido muy agradables la tertulias alrededor de la magnífica chimenea que junto con un buen equipo de calefacción han mantenido la casa a una temperatura muy muy agradable mientras en el exterior había temperaturas bajo cero.
A destacar el equipamiento de la cocina, en la que no falta detalle, con un menaje perfecto, pero a mi parecer con un frigorífico demasiado pequeño.
Hemos tenido una estancia muy agradable, seguro que repetiremos.

very quiet and peaceful retreat , fabulous views ,
For a quiet and peaceful break this is a must. Stunning views , the accommodation very clean ,large bright rooms and the food excellent ,the paella dish outstanding .
Many places to visit within 30 minutes to an hours drive .local markets nearby and of coarse the great Alhambra palace , well worth a visit .
We had such a great time . Thank you Lawrence and Alina look forward to seeing you again next year .

Definitely recommend!!
Our stay was only for 5 days, but I wish it would of been for longer.
The location meant that we were surrounded only olive groves as far as the eye can see, with zero to none traffic noise. Also at night there was no light pollution which meant we spent most nights star gazing into the mostbeautifully bright sky.
The accommodation has just the right blend of rustic and modern & finished to a very high standard.
The owner Alina makes the most amazing food, but also there is many restaurants in nearby Alhama. I would recommend the one with the swimming pool!
This very quiet type of holiday is usually not for me, but I couldnt fault it at all. I just couldnt believe how quickly I was able to forget all the worries of work and recharge my batteries.
Will definitely be returning. Thank you for the lovely stay :)
