Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Carran, The Burren, County Clare
Hidden from sight off the road in a stunningly beautiful rural area, this traditional cottage is cosy, pretty and private. Simply decorated with white walls, fuchsia windows & painted concrete floors, the decor creates a warm and welcoming feeling while also being based on historical style.

Upstairs the 2 bedrooms have wooden floors, shutters, very comfortable beds and high quality bedlinen. Downstairs is a sitting room with open fire (for use with peat briquettes only, available from local shops and garages), fully equipped kitchen/dining room and bathroom with shower, bath and wc. There is a boot room entrance if you are wet / muddy coming home from a walk on the Burren. The cottage is fully centrally heated so is always warm and welcoming with a combi boiler for constant hot water. Great for walkers, cyclists & those wan...

Interaction with guests
We like to meet all guests on arrival to show them around the cottage and make sure that all their questions are answered and needs are met. Because we are difficult to find and there is no landline at the cottage we ask guests to meet us at our home a few minutes away where we can be on hand to answer the phone if they are lost. During your stay you are welcome to contact us whenever you want but we aim to give you privacy and space.

We spent 3 nights here. Fabulous central location for all that we planned on doing and seeing in the area. Great for 2 couples as hard to find a place with large beds in both rooms and not twin beds in second room. Nice setting...More

The cottage was 'neat as a pin' and had everything we needed. Helen was very helpful and has a big binder with information on things to do and instructions for the cottage. The location was central to all the places we wanted to go and...More

How to get there
Airport: Shannon: 36.7 mi
Please see our website or search for Deelin Mor Lodge on Google maps for directions. These will bring you to our blue house which is on the drive to the main house (Deelin Mor) and we will take you to the cottage.

The last few miles require you to navigate via landmarks, therefore the directions are extremely important. Please do not rely on satnav - particularly ones hired with your car - as they have a habit of letting you down just when you need them most!

The only road map worth getting is the Ordnance Survey Ireland one - the rest miss out a lot of roads and are impossible to navigate by in this area.
