The terrace is open day and night, even while it rains. Marita serves a free delicious Costa Rican breakfast at her B&B. For emergency escape, two private access doors are provided in each bedroom. Each bedroom is also provided with a private family style bath. A private locked parking area is provided. From this location, guest can place luggage directly into their bedroom. A fire extinguisher and a smoke detector are provided in the kitchen area. Marita’s B&B is located adjacent to the German Bakery, and an Italian restaurant. Marita’s B&B is also a 10-minute walk to beautiful Lake Arenal Park. Sun-bathing, BBQ, and picnics takes place in Lake Arenal Park. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, Jet Ski activity takes place in the lake. Sanitary facilities and vehicle access roads are provide in the park. For those using public transportation, a bus stop that connects Nuevo Arenal to San Jose, Liberia, San Carlos, and La Fortuna is located 10 meters from Marita’s B&B. Marita and Alberto, her husband, live at Marita’s B&B.

Nos alojamos en Marita's una noche para seguir camino pero nos hubieramos quedado más dias. Casa tipica en un pequeño pueblo muy agradable. La habitación es espaciosa y muy cómoda, con todo nuevo, baño privado y limpieza impecable. El super desayuno tico y el espectacular jardin de Marita completan una estancia perfecta. Nos hicieron sentir como en casa!!!

Wonderful! Clean, comfortable, convenient and lovely host
We spend one night at Marita and Alberto Bed and Breakfast, it is a fantastic place! They are a lovely couple! The location is very convenient, we can walk to the beautiful lake and get around easily in the neighborhood. The room is very clean and comfortable, the homemade breakfast prepared by Marita was excellent, we took the desayuno tipico! We will highly recommend this place to anyone: backpackers, family, group of friends or couple.
Useful information: there are one secured parking place and a good wifi.

About the neighborhood
Nuevo Arenal is a small town with approximately 2,000 inhabitants. Nuevo Arenal is a beautiful town. It is located high and never gets too cold or too hot. Almost daily, a fresh wind blows and breathing the air is incredible. Crime in Nuevo Arenal is minimal. Children take pride in their school and sports activity. Typical of Costa Ricans, the citizen are friendly and well mannered. As shown on the location map, photo 4, Nuevo Arenal has all facilities expected in a small town.
Getting around
An automobile is not needed to shop in Nuevo Arenal. From Marita's Bed and Breakfast, Guest can walk to all Nuevo Arenal facilities. Marita’s B&B is also a 10-minute walk to beautiful Lake Arenal Park. Fishing, swimming, kayaking and sun-bathing takes place here. However, public transportation or an automobile is needed to visit areas outside of Nuevo Arenal.

Two airports, Juan Santamaria, located in Alajuela, and Dan Oduber Quiros, located in Liberia, are the most popular airports. It is much quicker and easier getting to Marita's Bed and Breakfast from the Liberia airport than the Alajuela airport. Marita's Bed and Breakfast is located on route 142, near the entry of Nuevo Arenal proper.
