I wanted somewhere special to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family and this ticked all the boxes. Photos online of the interiors really do not do them justice as the place was stunning! The location is very tranquil although if travelling in the dark it is difficult to find as the entry road is not sign posted. The dirt...

Management response:

Many thanks for the comprehensive feedback – and you certainly had the full castle experience! Whilst old castles have the odd creak and groan, it can take some getting used to! Your feedback regarding the fireplace has been forwarded on to the owner of the castle so they may look into this further. Thank you for taking the time to...

About the neighborhood
For spectacular scenery the Highlands of Scotland provides some of the best, with a huge expanse of area full of mountains, lochs and glens full of romance, wildlife and scenic beauty. For children, a trip to Loch Ness to see the Loch Ness monster is a must! Alternatively there is the Kincraig Wildlife Park or the Landmark Acivity Centre at Carrbridge which is ideal for family fun.
